Taylor Swift is not letting Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West have the last word.
The 27-year-old singer dropped her sixth studio album, Reputation, on Friday, and as we predicted, she continued to address her feud with the couple through music.
The album's debut single, "Look What You Made Me Do," and its accompanying music video fired shots at both Kim and Kanye, with Taylor straight up saying she doesn't like the rapper's "tilted stage." Fans theorized other references included the use of snakes (in case you forgot, Kimye fans flooded her social media feeds with snake emojis following the release of that "Famous" phone call) and believed the scene with her lying in a tub full of diamonds could be a reference to Kim's robbery in Paris, France, last year.

Wake up, Mr. West. It's your birthday!
On "No More Parties in L.A." off The Life of Pablo, Kanye West describes himself as "a 38-year-old 8-year-old," which is maybe a perfect summation of the qualities that have made the 40-year-old rapper such an enigma: a larger-than-life icon who has cultivated a persona that draws as much infamy as it does reverence, with a head-spinning number of acclaimed tracks to show for it.
Watch: Inside Kanye West's 40th Birthday in Bahamas With Kim Kardashian and Their Kids: 'No Work or Social Media'
Somehow, as Kanye has gotten older, his almost youthful sense for defiance and creativity have created work that has only gotten more experimental, more groundbreaking, and with each new album, inspired a new crop of artists of hip hop and of music in general.

Chicago – The year 2016 was a dangerous one to be a famous person. In the past twelve months, one dozen of my former photo subjects passed away, celebrities who at one time or another famously posed for my lens. However, on a positive note, at least photos are forever. Or to quote the immortal words of Pee Wee Herman – “Why don’t you take a picture, it will last longer!”
The ranking of the portraits are based on a combination of the star power wattage of the subjects, the artistic results and the difficulty of landing the quarry…for those budding smart-phone-celebrity-stalkers who may wish to play along at home. So without further adieu, I present my top 20 celebrity portraits of 2016.

Bryan Cranston, James Corden and Giovanni Ribisi battle for Jessica Biel's heart in a goofy Late Late Show sketch, "The Bold and the Lyrical," with dialogue comprised completely of Kanye West lyrics.
The bit begins with a priest (bandleader Reggie Watts) officiating the wedding of Cranston and Biel. "Diamonds are forever," the bride-to-be tells her future husband, who responds by mimicking the rapper's hilarious babbling – "Forever-ever?" – on "Diamonds From Sierra Leone." A fake-drunk Corden crashes the event in a jealous rage, shouting lyrics from "Runaway": "Let's have a...

This is one heartless love story. James Corden enlisted Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston and Giovanni Ribisi for the newest soap opera to debut on The Late Late Show Thursday night. The stars turned up the drama to portray scorned lovers caught in a love square on the day of a woman's wedding. However, as is customary with Corden's soap operas, the sketch was set solely to Kanye West rap lyrics for an added twist. As the conflict unfolded between Biel's character and her beaus, West's rhymes were expertly woven in, using virtually every hit from "Runaway," "Stronger," and "Gold Digger" to "Through the Wire," "Fade" and...

She’s the latest in a long line of runway beauties who have used their “being really good looking” skills to advance the art of the music video, basically since the dawn of the medium.

From ranting about Kid Cudi to dealing with a fan who tried to climb up on his floating stage, Kanye West's Saint Pablo Tour has definitely had it's ups and downs...but things took a different turn over the weekend. During his concert in Miami, he couldn't help but get emotional after coming across a fan who really pulled at his heartstrings. A woman named Krystal was standing below his floating stage, wearing a t-shirt in honor of his mother, Donda West, and rocking a "Runaway" tattoo. "The girl with the 'In loving memory of' and the 'Runaway' tattoo right here. You literally brought tears to my eyes,"'Ye said, according to videos several...

Editor’s note: On Friday, Kanye West premiered “Famous,” an extended music video for his single in which he portrayed a variety of recognizable faces sleeping in the nude. The 10-minute video has naturally sparked a mixture of outrage and confusion. Here, critics Eric Kohn and David Ehrlich attempt to figure out what the rapper is trying to say.
Eric Kohn: It may have commandeered the cultural dialogue within moments of its release, but Kanye West’s “Famous” video is about as intellectually basic as the celebrity-obsessed terrain it’s designed to deconstruct: Stars — they’re just like us! Whether it’s Chris Brown or Donald Trump, everybody snores. And yet West’s titillating provocation is fundamentally amusing precisely because it’s such a lark. On May 7th, Edm superstar Kaskade played to a packed crowd at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The sold out show saw about 20,000 people piling into the venue to hear the DJ and producer perform – and he didn’t disappoint. As a special treat to his fans, Kaskade has now uploaded a full recording of the show to Soundcloud, and it can be heard in the player above.
The live set opens with a brief introduction from the DJ himself, before a beautiful passage of ambient jazz fills the speakers. From there, Kaskade masterfully curates the set, focusing mostly on his own work both in original and remixed form. A number of tracks from other artists are included in the mix as well though, with music by Galantis, Max Vangelli, and Missy Elliot all featuring in the tracklist.

After five years of electronic music artists, events and venues edging their way into the mainstream spotlight, the electronic music community can finally boast an awards show of their own. The annual Electronic Music Awards & Foundation will debut on April 23rd and will be broadcasted exclusively on Fox.
Unlike DJ-specific competitions like Tiësto and 7up’s Your Shot USA or Red Bull Thre3style, Electronic Music Awards & Foundation (Emaf) will select winners of categories such as “Best Club of the Year,” “Festival of the Year,” and “Radio show of the year.” Among the artists to place in the more artist-relevant categories are Jauz and Kygo in “Best New Artist” and Disclosure’s Caracal in “Album of the Year.”
While no official statements make any mention of relationships which could lead to the Emaf organizers’ potential bias, subtle clues point to Insomniac Events tastemakers playing a substantial role in the selection...

Thanks to leaked audio posted by Page Six, we learned that Kanye West had something of a meltdown backstage at Saturday Night Live after some of his staging was compromised. He went on to call Taylor Swift "fake-ass" and added that he's "50% more influential" than any living human being, then comparing himself to director Stanley Kubrick more than once. Is he obsessed with the man who brought us 2001: A Space Odyssey? One of Kanye's first mentions of Kubrick came as he described the making of "Flashing Lights," his 2008 music video. Touting the video's production, he said, “Look at it graphically, how it starts. With the car, the orange sky, the color palettes, the blue sky, the car pulling up with the orange headlights. And just the beautiful women, taking the Helmut Newton type photo and bringing it to real life and crashing it against Jim Henson and George Lucas type whimsy and taking,...

Among the numerous festivals that take place during the month of July, Lollapalooza may be the historically richest. Having taken place off and on in different formats since 1991, the event series has succeeded in propelling a variety of artists into the mainstream spotlight. While superstar DJ/producer Kaskade may not necessarily be one of them, he does hail from the festival’s hometown of Chicago – and he played a set at this year’s installment that absolutely brought the house down.
We haven’t exactly been celebratory of all of Kaskade’s recent material, but when it comes to tearing it up on the decks, his recent performance demonstrates that he still knows how to get a crowd hopping. Studded with favorites like “Room for Happiness” and “Atmosphere,” the mix did contain a few of his less-deserving tracks – like his remix of Jack Ü’s “Where Are Ü Now,” for instance.

Just a few hours ago, the title for Jonathan Levine’s Christmas comedy reteam with his 50/50 stars Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt was revealed as The Night Before, and now the red band trailer for the film has made its way online.
The film centers on three childhood friends, Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen), and Chris (Anthony Mackie) who aim to cap off a long-running tradition of making Christmas Eve a night of sheer debauchery before accepting their new responsibilities as adults. In an effort to create a night to remember, they set out to find the notorious Nutcracka Ball.

Today in Kanye West rant news, Kanye West ranted at Tennessee's Bonnaroo festival again. Though his performance was less mercurial than his 2008 appearance at the fest - which saw the rapper arriving several hours late and later blaming his tardiness on festival organizers and, uh, Pearl Jam - he did find the time during his set to aggressively take on such subjects as, yes, Bonnaroo ("this time we're going to piss on them," he told the crowd), the media ("Fuck the press!" he screamed in the midst of his performance of "Heartless") and, indirectly, his own runaway ego ("I ain't going after nobody on the radio. I'm goin' after Shakespeare. I'm goin' after Walt Disney. I'm goin' after Howard Hughes. I'm goin' after David Stern. I'm going after Henry Ford. I'm goin' after Elon Musk.") Yes, he's got a big mouth, bigger ego and can let himself get in the way of his undeniable talent, but Kanye West knows how to put on a show. His current Yeezus tour is certainly a sensation, a massive spectacle, with costumes, lights and yes, great songs. And if you think it's positively cinematic, well, there's some good news for you. The rapper has dropped the teaser trailer for "Yeezus," a concert film of the same name that will be hitting theaters at some point in the near future. There's no other details yet, other than it was directed by music video veteran Hype Williams (who has helmed "Diamonds From Sierra Leone," "Gold Digger," "Drive Slow," "Stronger," "Can't Tell Me Nothing," "Homecoming," "Heartless" and "Runaway" for West). And in case you're wondering, no, this isn't the project Kanye is working on with Bret Easton Ellis. @VanityFair it isn't based on yeezus.

He’s one of the richest men in Hollywood, so it’s no wonder Leonardo DiCaprio was all about going big for his birthday this year.
Last night (November 10), the “Wolf of Wall Street” hunk rented out Tao Downtown in New York City and kicked off his last pre-40 year of life with a pair of hip hop’s hottest artists.
Both 2 Chainz and Kanye West showed up on stage to wish Leo a happy birthday, giving the crowd a special concert treat.
And with a set list that included “Birthday,” “Mercy,” “I Don’t Like,” “Gold Digger,” “Runaway,” “Good Life,” “All the Lights,” and “New Slaves,” it was quite the wild shindig.

This is like the ultimate story of boy-saves-girl, except with a lot of guns and Drake's vocals in the background. On the same day Drizzy's new album Nothing Was the Same was released, the rapper unveiled the music video for his hit single "Hold On, We're Going Home," except it was less of a music video and more of a little movie (think Kanye West's "Runaway," but not quite as long). The 7-minute Scarface-like clip takes place in Miami in 1985 and features appearances from Majid Jordan, A$AP Rocky, Fredo Santana and Ashley Moore—yes, the same girl who was spotted having lunch with Justin Bieber not too long ago—as the female lead. The video opens with the...

When making a fictional film about a horrific real-life event, the trap is in explanations. Everyone from politicians to part-time Wikipedia editors has already had their chance to weigh in on the cause of the event, and everyone who cares to have an opinion will likely have formed theirs well before the movie opens. Explaining the tragedy for them will not do; they key instead is to turn the participants, who have not been much more than booking photos in a news report for most of the audience, into fully realized human beings.
Accordingly, Alexandre Moors’ debut feature Blue Caprice is at its weakest when it applies any explanation to the story of John Allen Muhammed (Isaiah Washington) and Lee Boyd Malvo (Tequan Richmond), the two men who murdered ten people in a series of sniper-style attacks in the Washington,...

Over the course of six solo albums, twenty-one Grammy awards, and ninety-four singles, Kanye West has some awesome songs attached to his discography. However, when every album you release is so critically acclaimed, there are going to be some songs that don’t get the credit they deserve.
Some of the songs on this list get overshadowed by hits, some are so different from a typical Kanye song that we forget they exist, and others are a mystery as to why they don’t register with fans and critics as Kanye’s best. Most artists don’t have a library as polished and stacked as Kanye West does, so a lot of great songs get lost with mega-hits such as “Gold Digger,” “Jesus Walks,” and “Stronger,” but that doesn’t mean they aren’t just as good (if not better) than those radio giants.

So maybe there was a kernel of truth to that whole moment when Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck were trying to punk the pop culture world by documenting the former "retirement" from acting, so he could pursue a career in the hip hop. The resulting (and underrated, hilarious) film "I'm Still Here" focused on the disheveled, bearded Phoenix mumbling his way into rap infamy, but could the actor really have a side-career as a beatmaker? Well, it seems whatever he's doing has earned the attention of Kanye West. Clipse member and Kanye associate Pusha T (he drops the killer guest verse on "Runaway," if you're wondering who he is) is getting ready to unveil his first official studio album, My Name Is My Name (he's had a few mixtapes out in the interim). Originally slated to drop last month, it's been delayed, but not without good reason. Kanye has been...

Lest you think that corny American Psycho homage that Kanye West put out to promote Yeezus without author Bret Easton Ellis' involvement, it turns out that not only did Ellis pen the video projection but it sounds like he's always working with Kanye on an undisclosed new project.
"I just got a text one day… it said, 'It's Kanye, do you have time to rap?'" Ellis tells MTV News. "And then suddenly my phone rang and someone said, 'Kanye got your number and he wants you to write this promo for Yeezus.' And so we went back and forth on it and he wanted it done, like, that day. So I wrote it very quickly and they shot it two or three days later. It's funny. It’s really just a goof."

J. Cole, "Born Sinner" (Roc Nation/Columbia)
J. Cole continues to live up to the hype he initially got from rap great Jay-z, delivering an assortment of quality songs on his sophomore album, "Born Sinner."
Like his 2011 debut album, the 28-year-old primarily produces his new offering with some help from No I.D. and Elite. Cole shows improvement as a producer and lyricist, spitting rhymes with honesty and clarity throughout the 16 tracks, which include two entertaining skits and two interludes.
The North Carolina native raps about temptation and commitment struggles on several songs such as "Trouble," "Runaway" and "She Knows," which effectively co-stars Amber Coffman of the Dirty Projectors.
Cole raps about the stronghold of lust on the Kendrick Lamar-assisted "Forbidden Fruit," which samples jazz organist Ronnie Foster's "Mystic Brew." It could be the album's best track if Lamar had been featured on more than just the hook.

Kanye West is an outspoken artist who doesn't give interviews. But luckily for him, there are at least a thousand people in any given city who are interested in hearing him perform. In between songs, he's then able to say whatever he wants to a captive (and sometimes captivated) audience. That's why Kanye rants -- he wants to be heard on his own terms -- and Kanye's paparazzi rant at Wednesday night's "secret show" in New York was certainly one for the books.
When West took the stage at what was actually Adult Swim's upfront (where a network unveils its new slate to advertisers) in New York's Roseland Ballroom, he appeared in the middle of an all-white pyramid. A somewhat convincing storm was projected onto the structure's screen walls, a blend of sharp visuals of lightning strikes with blaring claps of thunder. This was made a tiny bit more...

Fox has one of its better slates coming your way with the new season, especially if you take the midseason shows into account. Some of these shows may not jump out at you now as must-see, but some of them are going to take over, if I’m any judge anyway.
Clear showcase offerings Dads, Almost Human, and Us & Them are guaranteed to take off early. Almost Human has J.J. Abrams recognition to pull people in, though it looks to be a show that could flounder after a few episodes, even if I hope it doesn’t. The other two are going to become hits. Unfortunately, we have to wait until mid-season for the Gavin & Stacey remake.
Rake also looks like a winner, as long as the translation can be made to work as an Americanized product, and the show actually delivers what made the Australian original so brilliant.

Kanye West will appear as musical guest on the season finale of "Saturday Night Live" opposite host Ben Affleck when the show airs on May 18. NBC made the West announcement official on Friday, just one week after rumors had the rapper making a return trip to the Studio 8H stage. (NBC wouldn't confirm West's involvement at the time, owing to the fact that the May lineup of shows was not finalized.)
Affleck, who is hosting for a fifth time, and West make for a star-studded finale. Last year, Mick Jagger acted as host and musical guest (along with Dave Grohl and members of Arcade Fire); in 2011, Justin Timeberlake and Lady Gaga closed out the season.
This will be West's first "SNL" appearance since 2010, when he appeared on the Oct. 2 episode with host Bryan Cranston. Those performances were memorable because of both controversy and ingenuity: West performed "Power" (which includes a...

He’s been busy with all kinds of career duties as of late, but rumor has it that Kanye West will return to New York City next month as a musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.”
The “No Church in the Wild” rapper has supposedly agreed to show up for the May 18th episode of the legendary sketch comedy show, though nothing has been made official just yet.
Back in October 2010, West appeared on SNL and performed “Runaway” and “Power,” though his presence seemed a bit hostile.
And if Kanye does in fact accept the gig, he’ll likely debut his new song “I Am God,” which was previously thought to be the title of his forthcoming album.

Is Kanye West headed back to "Saturday Night Live" for the first time since 2010? That's the report from Page Six, which claims that West will perform on the May 18 edition of "SNL."
Before getting too excited, note that NBC did not confirm the Page Six rumor. A spokesperson for the show told The Huffington Post that the May lineup is not finalized. As always, guest bookings are not official until they are announced by the show. Thus far, only Zach Galifianakis is locked in for a May appearance (May 4), with indie-rock outfit Of Monsters and Men acting as that episode's musical guest.

Phil, Alan and Stu. We partied with them in Las Vegas, got wasted with them in Thailand, and now it's all coming back home with "The Hangover Part III," a movie in which they want to burn the gambling mecca where they started their journey to the ground. The first trailer set up the pins -- will this one knock 'em down? Until now, not much has been known about the grand finale, with the plot details something close to state secrets. Well, whatever the drunken fratboy movie equivalent of that is. But this time around, we're getting much a bigger taste as not only is this spot actually hilarious (great opening choice of "Runaway" by Kanye West), but we get the whole story. Though long suspected about Alan entering a mental hospital, he's actually geared up for rehab until it all goes awry when John Goodman's baddie needs...

It's not often that a remake can successfully capture the spirit & tone of the original, yet bring something new & unique to warrant a different interpretation of the same story in the first place, but in the case of 'Maniac,' director Franck Khalfoun and producer Alexandre Aja did just that. 'Maniac' is not only a technical achievement, but one of the rare horror movies that serves as a great companion piece to its source material and quite frankly would make for a fine double feature with the original. While lead Elijah Wood (as Frank) makes his presence known through out the entire duration of the movie despite barely being on screen, it's equally important that we feel just as strongly for his victims as well. And one of the more prominent in this new movie is Lucie played by Megan Duffy. FEARnet had the opportunity to sit...

In Hollywood, it can often be a savvy career move for an actor to break bad. After all, the villains get to have all the fun, with supersize personae that toss out witty retorts slathered with evil relish. But there’s a difference between dastardly baddies like Calvin Candie or Silva and John Allen Muhammad, the real-life Beltway Sniper who terrorized suburban Washington, D.C., a year after 9/11, murdering at least 10 random people with the assistance of his young disciple, Lee Malvo. Their crimes were ruthless and indiscriminate, and after they were caught, convicted — and Muhammad was executed — the explanations...

Kanye West is being sued yet again. This time around, record label TufAmerica is taking Yeezy to court for allegedly using illegal samples of material it owns on 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The label claims that part of Eddie Bo’s 1969 song “Hook And Sling, Part 1” shows up on three of the record’s songs: “Who Will Survive In America,” “Lost In The World,” and “Runaway.” While West’s label, Roc-a-Fella, paid a $62,500 licensing fee, TufAmerica claims that was only for the sample’s use in “Runaway,” not the two other tracks. Apparently, a present-day version of Lewis Carrol’s Alice In Wonderland is being developed at The CW. The series will be titled Wunderland and will be about a young detective in Los Angeles who discovers a secret world that exists beneath the city.
Chad Hodge (Runaway, The Playboy Club) will write the pilot script and McG and Peter Johnson are set to executive produce.
Contemporizing classic stories seem to be the convention at the network these days, with both Beauty And The Beast and Sleepy Hollow being developed for a present-day setting.
