Jeffrey White's Mansion is a real mansion in Purchase, NY that baseball player Alex Rodriguez once expressed interest in owning.
The original feature script was written in 2002 as 'Dear Jeffrey'. Since then the script went through dozens of revisions until it became 'Hooknasty'.
The film's writer, Richard Gorey appears as an extra in multiple court room scenes.
At one point The title 'Hooknasty' was ditched for fear it sounded too much like a Pornographic Film. Eventually the filmmakers decided to keep it because it was the best title to describe the characters and events in the film.
The filmmakers all hail from The School of Visual Arts. Graduation dates ranging from 1984 to 2014
