This is a really charming little film! A sweet and simple story. Gigi DeRoux has put together a well-paced short film. And for such a low budget piece, production values are quite good.
The roles are well acted by Dana Lyn Baron, Peter McCabe & Janet Wilcox. The title character, Riley - as portrayed by Ms. Baron - is revealed to be the "dork" in all of us. General audiences will have an easy time relating to her.
And the catchy music by NYC swing band, Jet Set Six, certainly helps move things along. While there are a couple editing "glitches", it's nothing that takes away from the enjoyment of this purely entertaining piece.
