The first scene that was filmed is the last scene in the film.
Catering during production consisted mainly of Indonesian food, the director's favorite food. The native Indonesian cook quickly became a popular crew member, receiving warm welcoming and praise by the entire cast and crew every time he arrived on set.
One or two years before production of this film started, there was an earlier attempt at creating "Clair de Lune", which the crew often refers to as 'Clair de Lune 1'. Somewhere during the course of this project however, Michael Kolenbrander decided to halt this production, for the reason he did not feel prepared enough yet to properly produce a longer film. A large part of that crew then went on to make the short film "Dagdromer" (Daydreamer) (2009), which served as a kind of 'training grounds' for what was to become Clair de Lune (2010), which is made by largely the same team.
