Great game with a lot of innovation, but very gamey

I have about 900 hours logged on this game.

The game is very innovative and offers a truly unique experience. However, after playing for a while it becomes apparent that the game really just feels and plays like a beta. Even though it seems like the game has a lot of variety at first, there is actually a very narrow, ideal way to play that forces you into an extremely repetitive cycle if you wish to play efficiently. The game tries to be tactical, clearly, but you can pretty much curbstomp everyone in the game by just spamming Swadian Knights. There is no actual tactical ability required; knowledge of what is overpowered and what is not determines how well you do in battles.

Oh, and you think sieges are going to be cool? Honestly, the way you win sieges is by throwing a ton of Swadian Knights into the meatgrinder that siege ladders are while you try to get into a good camping spot and just mindlessly hack at a ton of enemies.

And of course there's the fact that when you finish the game and unite Calradia, many bugs start occurring. Clearly, this game was not meant to be finished.

Honestly though, this is a great game, and I'm hoping that Bannerlord fixes its issues with balance. As I stated, it is a truly unique, innovative, and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend getting mods though.

Amazing, unique RPG. But it is not just RPG.

There is no such a game like this. This is real unique. Taleworlds made a different game mode with this game. This is somehow a Role Playing Game and also a Strategy Game and also an Adventure Game.

This game is takes us to Calradia's free lands. We can do whatever we want. We can be a lord of our own kingdom if we are successful at battle. Or we can fight for other Kingdoms. We can be a good leader or be a good fighter or both.

Abilities, Weapon Masteries, Items, Troops, Kingdoms... This game is real big. Every kingdom has their own styles. For example Khergits has very good cavalry troops. And they have the only marksman cavalry troop in Calradia. But their castles are weak and easily defeatable. Nords are really strong in their castles but they are weak at ground battle. They can easily defeat with cavalries. Vaegirs has good marksman troops. Rhodok Kingom has strongest army for Castle Defence. They has really good marskman troops and perfect infantry troops. But they only has 3 cities in Calradia. Other Kingdoms has 4 cities. As I sad every Kingdom has their own styles.

I think this game has the best weapon system ever. Specially Archery is really great at this game. Aiming, shoot speed, draw speed and other factors are really detailed. Being a marksman is really hard but really deadly for enemies.

I'm so excited about Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord but it is not coming for many years... Someday it will be released. Mount & Blade games made in Turkey. Our best game is this.

A great game - Very engaging gameplay

Mount and Blade: Warband is the enhanced version of the original game known simply as Mount and Blade. Warband features many more aspects that could not be found in the initial version.

The game takes place in Calradia, a fictional land heavily based in medieval Europe, Western Asia and Northern Africa, during a period that resembles the Middle Ages. The land is home to six warring factions - Kingdom of Swadia, Kingdom of Rhodoks, Kingdom of Vaegirs, Kingdom of Nords, Khergit Khanate and Sarranid Sultanate.

For starters, you are a simple and lonely adventurer that takes a ride from a caravan into Calradia, where you aim to shape your destiny as you see fit... Will you become a cunning brigand and take advantage of others in order to have your pockets full? Will you gather a band of mercenaries and become bounty hunters, chasing criminals to their dens? Will you walk the path of the merchant and travel all over the realm, buying cheap and selling at higher prices? Will you side with one of the factions and engage in massive battles and sieges for dominance? Will you create your own faction and eliminate everyone else? These paths and many more are available to you the moment you set foot in Calradia. Warband's extremely open universe allows you to do whatever you please, when you please. There is no already laid out plot - the plot develops according to your actions and never comes to an end. You are not restricted to a specific path, being able to choose what you want to do according to what you feel like doing.

Features: - Levels and skill point distribution system. This allows you to become an expert in your favourite traits. - Mounted combat. - Very good combat system. Takes some skill to manage between striking from the four different directions and blocking/parrying enemy attacks. - Ability to recruit troops and form your army. (Troops gain experience and level up) - Become the ruler of villages, castles and towns. - Trade. - Marry. - Participate in tournaments. - Multiplayer battles, with different game types. - Many fan-made modules/add-ons can be downloaded in order to enhance your Warband experience.

And much more.

Mount and Blade: Warband is definitely one of the best games of its genres - Sandbox, Action, Adventure, RPG. The gameplay is addictive, entertaining and you'll find yourself humming the menu theme quite often.

If you have steam access, you can try the demo and see how you feel about it before making any decisions.

Memories of Calradia

Adventure on the land is something that never goes out of style. I used to be a mercenary, taking my friends with me and following Lords everywhere. I used to be a merchant, transporting goods from the snowy mountains to the grasslands for money, and running factories. I was also a wanderer, wandering about Calradia, learning old poets from bards. In M&B: Warband, you can choose your own life style, and create your own specific memories.
