- In the opening scene multiple zombies are brutally killed. One is shot in the head with a crossbow (blood spray), one has its head smashed (bloody wound), one is stabbed through the chin and out the top of the head with a pitchfork (explicit and graphically bloody) and one's jaw is smashed off with a shovel (gruesome blood and gore).
- Zombies are shown eating a deer and holding its organs. Several characters kill the zombies by stabbing them, shooting them, and brutally beating one to death before smashing the top of its head completely open with skin flying everywhere.
- A major character snaps a teenage boy's neck offscreen with a gruesome sound effect before smashing his own face off a tree in order to break his nose.
- In an intense and eerie sequence, Glenn and Daryl stab a zombie in the head after fighting with it in the woods. Blood is briefly shown.
- A man is bloodily stabbed in the chest before he is surprisingly shot in the head. This whole sequence is very sad.

- Rick is forced to stab Shane after Shane goes insane and he stabs him in the neck and blood sprays everywhere, very shocking and sad.
- This episode is extremely shocking and brutal. The protagonist is forced to kill his best friend because his friend is turning into a psychopath. He ends up killing him by stabbing him in the neck and chest with graphic amounts of blood in an extremely shocking and emotional sequence.
