Scopa is an Italian card game thought to have originated in the 18th century. Scopa translated is "broom"; the aim is to sweep all the cards off the table and is a balance of both skill and luck. It is one of two national card games, and it consists of a deck of 40 cards which have a picture face and a value, played by between two to six players.
