Broadcast of this documentary was delayed following legal action. The Independent newspaper reported on 5th October 1993: 'LEGAL action prevented Channel 4 from last night screening excerpts from Stanley Kubrick's film, A Clockwork Orange, as part of its Without Walls arts series ... Mr Justice Harman had earlier granted a temporary injunction, ruling that 12 clips, which made up nearly half of the 26-minute broadcast would constitute a breach of the copyright held by Warner Bros.' However, the Court of Appeal lifted this injunction and the programme was shown on 26th October 1993. This was significant since it was the first time footage from A Clockwork Orange had been broadcast on British television screens since the original release in 1971.
