The most bizarre thing about the character!

What a surprise! This film gave me a few laughs because of the strange things that manage to happen in it. The story fulfils its purpose and it's entertaining. Marvel Studios should consider including this version of the character in the possible Spider-Verse that we will see in December 2021.

Continuation of the battle of Spider-Man against the army of the Iron Cross.

Spider-Man 1978. Continuation of the battle of Spider-Man against the army of the Iron Cross. Of course it is difficult to call it a film, even a short film. Almost all actions take place in the same order as in each series. The only noticeable difference is the appearance of one new organization, which later will be in the plot of the series more than once. The film itself is as interesting as any Takuya Yamashiro (Spider-Man) series. The same main enemy in the face of the Iron Cross army with their next combat vehicle. The movie itself is a little over 20 minutes long, so you won't get bored. And finally... Forward Spider-Man!

Where has this masterpiece been all my life?

Warning: Spoilers
A Japanese short film that was apparently released theatrically, making it the first theatrical Spider-Man movie. If we're to rank it amongst all the other theatrical Spider-Man films, it's honestly better than the two solo Andrew Garfield films. Probably a similar level of fun as the Sam Raimi films, too.

Why make such a bold claim?

  • The main bad guy is called Professor Monster
  • Another bad guy is a dude in a monster suit called Sea Devil who can shoot torpedos out of his mouth (?) and he's hilarious. He can also turn into a kaiju-sized monster, which reminded me of Jet Jaguar in Godzilla vs Megalon.

  • The editing and sound effects are also hilarious
  • At only about half an hour long, the film wastes no times and is kind of just constant action scenes
  • Spider-Man has some kind of futuristic spaceship
  • Spider-Man swims
  • I love Spider-Man's silly little run
  • I love how Spider-Man has to say the name of a gadget before he can use it
  • The main theme music is glorious
  • SPIDER-MAN BRIEFLY PILOTS A MECH. My life feels complete. I may never see such a beautiful sight again.

  • This looked like it was fun to make and that made it fun to watch

Something about Spider-Man and tongue-in-cheek Japanese action movies from the 1970s work so well together. It's a match made in heaven. Kevin Fiege should watch this and take notes. Can't go higher than 8/10 because of how short it is, but it's undeniably glorious.
