Forget "La vita è bella" forget "JoJo Rabbit". This is by far the best movie on holocaust from a child's perspective that I have seen. For one thing: the subject is very good, full of historical details that are not there for the sake of themselves but that all serve plot development. What I particularly is that it manages to capture the playfulness of children in the age bracket of the young protagonists, and it does tha without resorting to fancy cgi. Just good directing and acting. Cast is all very good. The finale is very sad and unexpected, as well as moving in discreet and somber way. Highly recommended.
