- Bear Grylls is dropped into a remote archipelago of islands off the coast of Borneo. From the moment he swims ashore Bear is fighting impenetrable jungle, scaling escarpments and navigating inhospitable swamps in his search for freshwater. Desperate for food Bear has no choice but to try and spear fish in the shallows at night. The struggle to survive continues as he tries to catch fish by free diving to depths of 20ft and on land Bear has to use all his skills to drive wild boar into his trap. But will he find the ultimate key to his survival a freshwater source?—anonymous
- Bear sky dives from a helicopter heading for a small Malaysian island but finds it's covered with trees and very narrow beaches. So he's in for a swim. Finally on the island he build a shelter with a roof that collects rain water and a raft to take him to another island where he finds animals and a reliable water supply. There he builds a brush funnel to herd the animals to a trap he set. But with all the water around he can't resist a little spear fishing for crayfish as big as lobsters.—David Foss
- *Bear must sky dive from a helicopter to a remote, young volcanic archipelago of the coast of Sabah, in Malaysian Borneo, and swim ashore. The first island he tries is low on food, so he depends on fishing with a local technique, attracting seafood by fire on a platform in sea to spear fish, which works. He builds a shelter near the narrow coast, later to be fitted with a simple rain water collection system. Finding the jungle hard to penetrate, slopes hard to climb and swamps disgusting lacking fresh water, he builds a raft to explore the neighboring island. It has game, so he devises a large scale funnel trap system to hunt wild porcine. However the dinner treat is freshly dive-harpooned crayfish.—KGF Vissers
