Exclusive: Millennium Films has acquired The Strategist, a thriller script by Inon Shampanier that he will direct. It is the story of a most unusual CIA recruit, a chess master who is brought in to mastermind the takedown of a dangerous dictator. The adversary is himself a brilliant man with impenetrable security who must be outmaneuvered to be taken down. Millennium’s Mark Gill will produce. Shampanier most recently helmed The Millionaire Tour for Michael Eisner’s Vuguru, which stars Dominic Monaghan and Agnes Bruckner, and which he wrote with wife Natalie Shampanier. Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson and John Thompson are exec producers. The spec deal was brokered by Original Artists’ Jordan Bayer and Chris Sablan, and attorney Lev Ginsburg.

The first chapter of an internet-based film, The Millionaire Tour, is available for screening on Youtube and it features the talent of Dominic Monaghan (“Lost”), Rick Gomez (Sin City), Jordan Belfi (“Entourage”) Agnes Bruckner (Blood & Chocolate), Bruce Davison (X-Men) and Dave Vescio (Hick). This feature movie is a psychological thriller that promises to be thought provoking.
When deception and mistaken identity is at the heart of this film, the question of who is supposed to be kidnapped gets turned into one huge mind game. When Sammy (Rick Gomez) takes over Eddie’s (Dave Vescio) shift as a cab driver, he gets caught in more than just an abduction plan. Casper (Monaghan), and Billie (Bruckner) are waiting to ambush Greg (Belfi) and they have plans on spending all his money. The group goes on more than just a simple ride as everyone is convinced that Greg is a legendary conman. But...

“Band of Brothers” alum alert! The new thriller “The Millionaire Tour” co-stars Rick Gomez, George Luz himself from HBO’s “Band of Brothers”. Besides doing work in Inon Shampanier’s “The Millionaire Tour”, Gomez also recurs on the awesome “Justified” as Assistant U.S. Attorney David Vasquez, where this year has him co-starring with fellow “BoB” alum Neal McDonough, though the two have no scenes together … yet. Now if only they could toss Dick Winters in there… Anyways, Gomez is co-starring in Inon Shampanier’s “The Millionaire Tour”, which also co-stars Dominic Monaghan of “Lost” fame. A mysterious cab passenger, who is taken hostage, must convince the abductors that he is not the legendary conman they set out to kill. His various attempts to prove his identity only persuade the abductors of his devious conman trickery. Is it a case of mistaken identity, or a clever act of deception? A series of mind games,...

You may know British actor Dominic Monaghan as Merry Brandybuck from the insanely popular "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, or as Charlie Pace in the insanely popular time-traveling drama "Lost." Or as Bolt in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Or as a wicked quantum physicist in "Flash Forward."
Et cetera, et cetera. Look, diminutive as Monaghan may be, he's a really big star.
Monaghan's currently promoting his upcoming film "The Millionaire Tour," a web-only production made by Michael Eisner's company Vuguru, featuring Monaghan as a violent criminal who targets the wrong mark. We asked for his take on the future of movies online -- but we also got the story on his ex-girlfriend Evangeline Lilly's part in "The Hobbit," and why he's getting so grim in his movie roles.
Your characters seem to be taking a downward spiral in darkness -- Merry was bright as the sun, Charlie was kind of morally gray.

We're less than two weeks away from the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, and convention organizers have finally released the schedule for the first day of programing. You can find the full schedule on comic-con.org [1], or after the jump I've listed the film and television highlights, which includes the Masters of the Web panel which I've been invited to be a panelist on (In full disclosure, I've been asked to be on this panel for a few years now, but I've only just recently gotten over my fear of speaking in front of large audiences). It should be a fun panel, and I hear they will be giving away some really cool prizes as well. Dave Vescio is one of Hollywood’s most talented up-and-coming actors and has achieved much recognition through his mastery of playing villainous and evil roles. Dave, having been featured in over two dozen short films in the past 2 years, including, “Blue Hour” and “Q for Death,” is currently focusing on his newest role as a villain in 2012’s Hick. This coming of age story about a 13 year olds life on the road, stars Alec Baldwin, Blake Lively, Juliette Lewis, Chloe Moretz, Eddie Redmayne and Rory Culkin. Hick, produced by the very talented Derick Martini, was just recently unveiled to buyers at this years’ Cannes Film Festival which we'll get deeper into. Check out my latest Versus with actor Dave Vescio.
Brian S- First off, tell me how you got into acting.
Dave Vescio- I actually didn’t start acting until the age of 32. Before that, I was a TV photojournalist for CBS News.
