Kinda predictable in ways but I love it and want more
jakestiverson16 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Great episode, great show, and I've thought this from episode one. I think that inside the suits they wear to go "clean" isn't just oxygen. Something is in those tanks to slowly poison them when they go out. Also the scene with Juliet and her dad mad me cry with them. To see a father that struggled with the guilt of thinking it was all his fault and daughter that blamed him to reunite from finding out the truth was amazing. This show may have slow bits to it but I'm never bored. I hope people get into this show like me so we can have more and more. I'm so curious if the ex-sheriff that took his helmet off is actually dead. He might have gotten it off in time to get the oxygen he needed to survive. My prediction is he is actually still alive but they're showing everyone in the silo a false image that his body is still there on the ground. I think there's life outside the silo, the ex-sheriff has probably found it, and eventually Juliet will too. Where it goes from there... save the silo citizens? I'm excited for the future is all I can say. Sorry if I spoiled anything but I did put up the spoiler warning 🤷‍♂️

Best episode yet!
ohcrapitsalexb17 June 2023
Another great episode, expanding upon last week's momentum. The several weeks of slow (but still enjoyable) episode are finally coming to a head. Scared my wife when I yelled No! At the very end, as the episode ends on a nerve-wracking cliffhanger, even topping last week's similar ending. I wanted more, can't wait for next week!

I rated this a 9 out 10, only because I believe we are coming up to an episode or two that will top even this, and I wanted to leave room to rate an even better episode.

One final thought...I can't be the only one that wondered for a moment there if an army of rabbits were going to come save the day. LOL.

Nichols' fate will leave you eagerly awaiting the next episode
RebelPanda16 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
"Silo's eighth episode, titled 'Hannah,' delivers an intense and thrilling turn of events that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. Every character is pushed to their limits, leading to a literal cliffhanger ending that leaves audiences eagerly anticipating the next installment.

The episode kicks off with a jaw-dropping raid on the sheriff's office by Judicial, breaking all sorts of pact rules. The reckless actions of the invading force result in the arrest of Sims, their leader. Despite his silence, Sims exudes a palpable aura of anger and menace that sends shivers down your spine.

Sheriff Juliette Nichols, a central figure in this episode, delves into her own past as she contemplates her rule-breaking mother, Hannah. The forbidden magnifying glass built by her mother becomes a symbol of rebellion and defiance within the confines of the Silo. Nichols confronts her father, questioning why he allowed Judicial to crush her mother's dreams, ultimately leading to her tragic suicide. The emotional confrontation between Nichols and her father is a powerful scene, bringing catharsis but also raising concerns about her father's fate now that he is aware of the truth.

The espionage plotline that was slowly unraveling in previous episodes finally comes to fruition. Nichols shares her knowledge of cameras in the mirrors and microphones in the vents with her father, adding an extra layer of tension and uncertainty. This newfound alliance between Nichols and her father provides a glimmer of hope amidst the turmoil but leaves us worrying about what lies ahead.

Deputy Billings, dealing with his illness and increasing tremors, adds another layer of tension to the episode. Influenced by Nichols, he evolves into a more liberated and adventurous character, further complicating the dynamics within the Silo.

Meanwhile, Walker, situated in the treacherous down deep, faces threats as Nichols considers seeking her help to unlock the secrets held within George's secret hard drive. This potential revelation could hold the key to uncovering the truth behind the Silo's mysteries and multiple murders, adding a thrilling and suspenseful element to the storyline.

The episode culminates in a heart-pounding chase scene through a cornfield, where Nichols finds herself captured by double crossers. The intensity of the pursuit and the uncertainty of

As 'Hannah' unfolds, the question of whether Nichols is the Silo's biggest threat or its potential savior looms large. The intricate web of relationships, secrets, and revelations continues to captivate audiences, and with the cliffhanger ending, the anticipation for the next installment is at an all-time high.

This show is Amazing, MUST WATCH TV
saiyeshwanth-2781516 June 2023
It started off slow ( a little ) but it keeps getting better with every episode the 8th episode is some of the best TV I've watched this year. The dialogue is crisp and at no point do you feel like it's there as filler just to fill up the space. The Acting is immaculate from every cast member and Rebecca Ferguson and Ian Glein stand out in this episode.

It's unpredictable in a good way, the way that lets you wonder instead of having one stupid McGuffin carry the entire show, the way most fantasy shows are written these days.

My first review on IMDB and this episode made me take the plunge because I felt the need to appreciate great content and let others know about it instead of just criticising the really awful ones.

Glad the show is picked up for another season!

Best actors I've ever seen on TV
robloxworld17 June 2023
Like seriously, this episode is peak performance, I am so happy they announced Season 2 because I want to see more Rebecca Ferguson, she is a legend, and without her screenplay this show wouldn't be nearly as good imo. The emotions on her face, the anger, the sadness, she fits everything and altough I loved Holston too, I am so happy that Juliette became the MC instead of him. This episode felt so short, probably the shortest episode in the entire series so far, we did not find out much, but what we did was worth it. The last two episodes really seem like they can go so many different ways, it can be either an action-packed closure or a truth-uncovering ending, either way we will definetely going to have a cliff-hanger looking at the EP10 title. People who do not like this show are just ungrateful or have really high-expectations. It's been a while since we got a TV-show this high quality in both visuals, and acting. The story is slow at times but the speculations is what make the Silo so good and not the instant-reveal for everything. I was affraid they going to give out so much in the first two episodes but the rest of the episodes showed that what's outside isn't that important, it's way more interesting what's going inside. I can't wait for the final episodes, tbh I would be more happy if the final two would be double just like the beginning, it would hit harder for sure.

Kind of meh
chebosky21 June 2023
This show has a great hook and the first few episodes are brilliant and set up a new exciting and interesting world and characters you want to get to know and learn how they navigate this world.

However, since episode 4 things have dropped off and the show has become quite predictable and is barely scratching the surface of what I'm really interested in about this world. The last episode and this one pick up considerably which is good, but pacing is just one of the problems with this season. To me it seems like they are putting most of the focus on the least interesting aspects of the Silo and what it means for the world outside

In addition, the character of Juliette is just not a solid main character. She's kind of obnoxious and unsympathetic, so centering the story around her was a mistake in my opinion. And making her the sheriff has reduced huge chunks of the show to a police procedural which is shortchanging the possibilities of this show and displays a lack of confidence in the writer's room

I will finish out the season but it just seems like overall this is a missed opportunity to have a truly unique and original show. It has all the right ingredients to become a great show, but it's just not there. I keep watching because I think it can get there, but it's going to need an overhaul in the writing process.

will something please happen?
nerrdrage22 January 2024
This series had a good pilot and then settled into a whole lot of characters chasing their tails around as we patiently wait for something to actually happen. I can't believe we're already near the season's end and Juliette still hasn't found out what was on the hard drive after wasting so much time on dead end plot threads. What exactly was the purpose of the Pez dispenser, anyway?

Juliette's family backstory just confirms what we already know, the Silo is repressive and imposes incomprehensible, restrictive rules on people and ruins their lives and everyone is cowed because they don't know any better. What's the point of repeating what we already know. Get the plot moving already!

Warning: Spoilers
Tim Robbins performance is a little bit weird, but nothing new there. The acting is kind of shaky here, but the tone and setting keeps you invested and wondering how it is all going to turn out in the end.

I feel like they are going to too many sci-fi tropes here, but this is still entertaining and after a kind of shaky start I am now on the edge of my seat week to week wondering what is going to happen. That is exactly how the show should be going.

Overrated by some people online, but I think this is the kind of show Apple TV needs more of to finally establish some more fans of the streamer.
