SUCH an improvement from season 2!
annalisagmistretta14 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I've been watching this show since season 1 and I had to live through the pain that is season 2. Of course, I understand COVID was an issue, but at some point the line has to be drawn because the pandemic can't always be a valid excuse. The writing for this episode just solidified season 3 being EXPONENTIALLY better than season 2 and in my opinion better than season 1. Something I love about Tim Federle is that it seems like he genuinely listens to what the fans have to say and he truly cares about our opinions and that's evident. The play was astounding and I'm so happy Dara was able to shine, she deserves it! I also loved Ashlyn's arc because we can see that she truly found herself and at the end of the day, that's what theater is about: expression. I think Matt Cornet was great as well, especially when EJ called his dad. I'll leave you with this: Ricky/Gina storyline has been my favorite since season 1 and I'm so glad that more people hopped onto this train. I was hesitant at first because it seemed like they weren't going to address the emotional pain Ricky put Gina through in season 2. Yes, Gina asked to start over early on in this season, but it seemed like that was because she didn't want to be reminded of those times. That's one reason I'm giving this episode a 9/10: The slow burn has been amazing, but I still think they need to have a heart-to-heart before they can progress. I can confidently say that I do believe Tim will find a way to address it. That being said this season was AMAZING and just brought me back to 2019 in so many ways!

THEIR BEST SEASON FINALE
meripereira-slb14 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode has been their best season finale as of yet. The season in itself has been their best season to be honest. The songs of this episode were really good and the drama was so entertaining. Ricky and Gina were the greatest thing ever and I've waited 3 seasons to see them happen. The love confession was beautiful and I loved the call backs to their previous moments. So happy we got to see their first kiss on screen unlike Ricky and Nini or Gina and EJ. They're truly the heart of the show since season 1.

I love how they addressed Kourtney's anxiety and the fact that it doesn't end just because she sang a song and climbed a wall.

Also love the amount of lgbt representation this season. Both Ashlyn and Big Red being bi makes me so happy.

Perfect way to end a great season.

I'll admit I thought the pacing of this season was quite off during the first 3 episodes or so but it really turned it around in the second half. So much set up was paid off in this season finale, it felt extremely satisfying as a long time viewer. VERY MUCH appreciated the extended runtime. Ricky and Gina's love story has to be one of my favorites in teen dramas to date and I can't wait to see more of them.

Kourtney's performance was also a huge highlight. Her arc didn't really come together until the last few episodes but I think it was done well and I really enjoyed where they went with it.

I'm definitely gonna miss these characters and I'm very much looking forward to what the release of a certain documentary will do to shake up season 4!

Can It Get Much Better Than This?
ethanisking8414 September 2022
I'm giving this season finale a 10 simply because it was much better than Season 2's finale. I believe this episode tied the season up in a little neat bow. Tim Federle, you better find a way to keep EJ in this show!!! Have him direct East High's new musical next season. Jet & Maddox should attend East High now that Season 3 is over. Olivia Rodrigo's exit was done perfectly. Nini & Ricky were able to move on with no complications. I appreciate all the effort Tim has put into this show making it a dream come true for gay & bisexual kids out there. Disney has really stepped up their game in terms of showing sexuality across their platforms. Cant wait for Season 4! They start filming September 14! Get ready Wildcats...

RINA JSJDJDSJFJFFJ

Warning: Spoilers
I've been waiting for the rina kiss for so long, and it was executed beautifully. The confession was the best thing I've ever seen. Ricky needs to hear how people are feelings, while Gina needs action. They gave each other exactly what they needed. Their love story is one of the best EVER. Other than that, the episode and the entire season was so good. Touching on anxiety, following your dreams no matter what anyone tells you, and characters discovering their sexuality, it was all fantastic. Kourtney singing Let It Go was so powerful and giving two black women the leads is amazing!! I don't like EJ, but that scene with his dad really made me feel for him. The fact they managed to make me like EJ for two seconds really tells you how good the writing is.

NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!
finnjackson-1789814 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE SEASON 1!!!! AND IT FINALLY PAID OFF!!!! CANNOT WAIT FOR SEASON 4! RINA WARRIORS WE DID IT WE WON!!

Ok but In all honesty what a season! This entire season makes up for season 2, This episode was literally everything I could have asked for. I don't know what else to say, the entire thing just made me so happy. I got very teary eyed during This Is Me (That girl can sing!!!) and I was not expecting Corbin Bleu to start singing Everyday , the way tears were running down my face was not even funny when that happened. Season 4 has a lot in store, Get ready because It's Now Or Never.

Best Season Finale!
rosefems16 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This was honestly the best season the show has put out so far, and a MASSIVE improvement from season 2. This finale was honestly everything I needed and more. I am so glad it was 50 minutes long because I was worried they would not have enough time to end the season right. The storylines this season were top notch. I loved the Kourtney anxiety storyline, Ashlyns sexuality storyline, Jet & Maddox's sibling storyline, and Ricky and Ginas storylines. The kiss and confession at the end of this episode was perfect and such a great payoff to their story! I can't wait to see their relationship in Season 4 and I hope they get to finally be happy and at peace LOL I will say as many others have that I hope they do the "music video" style type of songs less and more just live vocals and natural music that flows with the show. I am very excited for Season 4.
