Spike : [sees the gifts his friends brought him] Are those... for me?

Applejack : You bet they are, birthday boy.

Fluttershy : Happy birthday, Spike.

Rainbow Dash : Don't you know you get presents on your birthday?

Fluttershy : Well, actually, this is my first birthday in Ponyville... I usually just get one present... from Twilight. A book.

[pan to Twilight, who sheepishly hides a wrapped-up book she was about to give Spike]
Fluttershy : Don't worry Rarity, we'll save you!

Rainbow Dash : [at Spike's left ear] Put her down, right now!

Fluttershy : [at Spike's right ear, screen left] I- if you wouldn't mind, that is...

Rainbow Dash : I mean it, dragon boy!

Fluttershy : We'll be ever so grateful if you'd be so kind as to possibly consider...

Rainbow Dash : Drop her, scaly!
Fluttershy : [gasps] We did it! I can't believe we did it!

Rainbow Dash : All in a day's work.

Rarity : [Rarity comes over to Spike, who is brooding on the edge of a small creek bridge, and looking at the damage he caused earlier that day while giant] Spike, I just have to tell you how absolutely proud I am of you.

Spike : Proud of *me*?

Rarity : Yes. It was you who stopped... w-well you, from destroying Ponyville. You are my hero, Spikey-wikey!

[kisses him on the cheek]
