Tough Warfare

Following on from the previous episode this continues an excellent return to top form for the series. The first episode of this story arc was fantastic and this second chapter is even better.

Absolutely great war scenes and thoroughly brilliantly depicted tensions between the troops and General Krell make this an awesomely entertaining full on action episode but with utterly absorbing, thoughtful underlying themes.

It is interesting how Clone Wars makes clones really deeply explored people with independent thought, bravery, conscience and feelings. The contrast between that and Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith is striking and complex. It actually creates a lot of deep questions which were only answered in later seasons of this show. Anyway, this is deep storytelling which is compelling drama, insightful exploration of clone mentality and hugely adds to the shock of Order 66.

In addition to the wonderful dramatic storytelling this episode is also just super impressive, enjoyable action. The battle scenes are incredibly well done and the animation is superb.

My rating: 10/10.

Really boring and stupid

Warning: Spoilers
At first you know right away the general is bad and must be from the dark side.

He had no respect to his soldiers and for life at all. He's loosing on purpose and his soldiers are too good to loose.

When this episode goes for not always follow the directions from a bad leader, then the message goes strange ways.

Why this boring story must go 3 episode s long? Who knows. 1 episode is too much of this bs. Why the life of a clone isn't much worth then an other life? I don't know. Not only in this episode it's this the case.

The Jedi should give every life respect. And after watching several episodes, it's doubtful that the Jedi are on the right side.
