When Juliet leaves her dinner date with Shawn to go to the scene of the next Mantis encounter she grabs her purse but leaves her phone on the table.
When Shawn confronts The Mantis (Reginald Parker) about his plan to steal money from the cartel, as Reginald sits down to explain, his pants zipper is shown as being down.
Right before the first break, Gus describes the masked vigilante. Lassiter asks, "You saw him too, Guster?" Gus responds, "No, but I see him now." Then the scene morphs into a comic book panel, and we zoom out to see the last few lines of dialogue in other panels. In one, coming from Lassiter is a speech balloon that reads, "You saw him to Guster?", which makes no sense.
Soon after the scene where Shawn figures out it's October, there's an establishing shot of the outside of the police station including 2 blooming magnolia trees - which bloom in the Spring not October.
In the opening sequence, identified by the subtitles as sometime in 1991, a young Gus describes the vital information of the superhero he's dressing as for the comic book convention. It's Tap Man, and he states that his arch nemesis is Riverdance Man. However, Riverdance was first performed during the 7-minute interval of the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 at the Point Theatre, Dublin on 30 April 1994.
