We have a relatively quiet week of Blu-ray and DVD releases to kick off the month of May, but two of the titles are fantastic indie horrors that are very much worth your time—For the Sake of Vicious and A Ghost Waits. Other releases for May 4th include Rise of the Mummy, Why, The Midwife and a re-release DVD for Wes Craven’s Cursed.

The cast also features U.S. star Wayne Brady, whose credits include “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Let’s Make a Deal” and “How I Met Your Mother.”
“Blank” sees a desperate writer sign up for a fully A.I. operated retreat to cure her writer’s block, but when an unforeseen software glitch occurs, she gets trapped inside her unit with an unstable android and no communication with the outside world.
Shelley plays the writer, Claire Rivers, with Reed as ‘the A.I.,’ and Brady as the “host.” Jamie Lomas, Bhasker Patel, Rebecca-Clare Evans and Annie Cusselle (“The Silent Child”) round out the cast.
“Blank” marks the feature debuts of director Natalie Kennedy and writer Stephen Herman.

With an ever growing horde of zombies completely wiping out a countryside town, the Government sets a perimeter around the town area and employs a shoot on sight policy. Trapped within the town, the locals and unlikely bunch of misfits fight for their lives, realising they must unite to survive. Can our heroes unravel the clues in time and survive or will The Zombie King and his horde of zombies rise on the night of the dark moon?
I am not going to lie; King of the Dead starts off strong. Sure, zombie films are done to death (pun intended), but The Zombie King isn’t afraid...

The synopsis for director Aidan Belizaire’s upcoming horror flick “The Zombie King” reads like something conceived during a particularly devilish fever dream. I’m assuming that the story makes sense to someone, and I’m sure the movie is fourteen kinds of badass, but at the moment, I’m a little confused. At least the film stars Edward Furlong and Corey Feldman, right? That’s pretty exciting. To me, anyway. In fact, you may feel otherwise. Strongly. Anyway, here’s that synopsis I mentioned earlier: The story centres on an every day man, Samuel Peters who makes a pact with the God of malevolence Kalfu to help bring back his wife from the grave. Peters becomes The Zombie King, still a man but a leader of the ever growing horde of zombies, zombies which have been brought back from the dead through the practise of Voodoo and, who, completely...

It’s been announced that Edward Furlong and Corey Feldman to star alongside each other in British horror film The Zombie King. Furlong will be taking on the role of Samuel Peters (The Zombie King) and Feldman will be taking the role of Kalfu the God of Malevolence. These characters have an interesting twist to a zombie film. A film with a blend of comedy, action, nails biting tension, which will appeal to horror fans and zombie lovers alike….
Samuel Peters (Furlong) once an ordinary man, dabbles within the laws of voodoo to bring his wife back from the grave, he soon encounters the God of malevolence ‘Kalfu’ (Feldman), where he makes a pact with him to destroy the underworld and bring chaos to earth; in return he will become ‘The Zombie King’ and walk the earth for eternity with his belated wife. Seven days before the rise of the Dark Moon,...
