The title and the story is a reference to The Social Network. Also, SpringFace is a parody of Facebook. The "Floor" is a parody of Facebook's "Wall." Armie Hammer, one of the guest stars in this episode, was one of the actors who performed in The Social Network. He is portraying two real-life characters that were in the film as well.

The blue-haired lawyer says that SpringFace is the biggest failure since Ask Jeeves, a search engine. Jeeves, the mascot of the UK version of the site, then gets up and walks out, head hung low.
