The Kübler-Ross study "Five Stages of Grief" involved the common feelings/emotional states that terminal patients go through after they have been given their diagnosis. The authors did not study and did not intend their findings to be applied to people grieving over the loss of a loved one. This has been wildly misused and misinterpreted.
