Title Error
The film has a fundamental error - the title!
The crash which killed General Sikorski took place on 4th July 1943, not 1944!
Hi had made a stop-over on his way back to London from a visit to Polish troops in Palestine and Rhodesia. After meeting with the Governor of Gibraltar, he had been visiting the American Consulate in Gibraltar to celebrate Independence Day with the American staff. He, his daughter Zophia and his staff boarded the aircraft at about 11pm.
Secondly, it was not an assassination. It was an accident, owing to the mis-use of the controls by the co-pilot - but that is another story which I have made into a screenplay.
