I honestly do not like very much youtube reviewer videos, because they all try too hard to be contrarian in order to gain visibility, but this review is just plain ignorant and based on falsehood.
Grave of the Fireflies was not made to "guilt-trip" the 80s Japanese youth. That was just an urban legend perpetuated by people who take everything they read on websites like 4chan at face value.
If you want to know the real intentions of Takahata, read the interviews he made to anime magazines back then: At no point the intention of "guilt-tripping" the audience was mentioned.
Akiyuki Nosaka, the author of the original story, once claimed he hated preachy anti-war movies. I doubt he would have allowed Takahata make this movie if he had the intention of "moralizing" the youth as this stupid review claims.
Do your proper research next time instead of basing it on rumors.
