A very impressive first effort for Hell's Kitchen's Kim Garland.

Well-written, skillfully shot and directed by this first time filmmaker. Maintains just the right feel for a horror short without becoming creepy or cliché in any way and leaves you with questions you want answered enough to look forward to seeing the next one. There will be some who complain that not enough is explained, but I'm one of those viewers who feel the error is to go too far in the other direction when writers and directors explain too much of what is going on. That doesn't happen here, so if you like things spelled out in black and white then this short isn't for you. But if you have an imagination, yes a dark one in this case, then you'll love the mystery of not knowing everything and you'll just enjoy where the ride takes you.

Wonderfully shot Horror Short which leaves itself open for another episodic short. The pictures, non dialog looks and glances leave a creepy but am I over-reacting mood. Subtle deftly handled this is a director to watch! The use of lighting leaves an atmospheric impression. The succinct dialog helps set the stage. The beauty of this film is the implied threat. There is plenty of ambiguity going on which impacts the viewer's impression of what it is they're seeing. Vivienne Again is a Horror short that's leaves you asking "when's the next episode"? Is she good/Bad, Is he creepy or is he hitting on her?! Very intelligent filming. Sometimes you get the impression that Horror needs to be dumb down to be appreciated. Vivienne Again puts paid to that silly remark! It's smart sexy and has a very New York attitude!
