Rapid fire jokes refresh a long-running comedy
Schleiben2810 October 2022
This is probably one of the best episodes I've seen in quite a while, and the trend continues for the new season to keep delivering fresh comedy we haven't seen on this particular level in quite a long time. In fact, compared to the last two episodes, the comedy has built itself up to prime levels. It seems as though either new writers were hired, or the signature ones have taken comedy classes to find out what's actually funny and what works best with comedic writing styles. Joke after joke after joke delivers great satisfaction and much joy. Family Guy seems to be finally listening to its audience and taking pride in breathing new life into itself.

The only clunker of this episode is one mystifying thing: Joe is paraplegic, which means he's paralyzed from the waist down. So how would the nerves be functional for him to even achieve an erection in the first place? Maybe that's the point of the joke where humor can be found, much like the Maga bit in the Blockbuster episode. Or may I just like my humor to be based in realism. Either way, there was so much enjoyable about this episode. My favorite bits were when Peter sat on Chris's face in his wrestling unitard and the bit at the end with Peter dressed as a Chippendale while Lois was dressed as a nurse. Seems as though FG is taking notes from its counterpart American Dad by using more of the sexy parent trope to spice up the funny. I greatly approve!

The parts with Stewie and Brian going along with the car adventures was spitfire funny. I loved every single gag about that one. I also love that there is more being done with Chris and that he's interacting more with the other characters in a way that's actually funny. Again, the writers are definitely getting better at delivering what the audience wants.

Overall, I'd say this episode is an 8.5 out of ten. Absolutely fantastic! Keep it up, Family Guy!

Pretty good but not as good as the last 2

This episode was interesting. Though it's plot is repetitive as we've seen this same formula of Lois not feeling appreciated by Peter, so she pleasures others, in this one it feels less like Lois is an ass due to it giving more time to them both showing each other lashing out. Also it's better that they play it less straight and make more jokes.

The second plot is whatever and genuinely feels like needless padding.

The episode gets really quick to the plot and it isn't just a couple minutes of padding which season 21 has entirely avoided. The jokes weren't as funny compared to last episode or the one before it but still pretty solid. The narration at the end was probably the peak of the episode.

Episode 3

Warning: Spoilers
Sure, the show's glory days are long behind it, but I still found myself laughing throughout the episode. Politics aside I also found it funny that despite knowing Seth's leanings, they did kind of respond controversially to one major arc.

The idea of Lois flaunting for Joe would seem "empowering" to many today, so for Lois to actually apologize to Peter for her actions was wild to see. Usually they wouldn't present behavior that way on TV anymore.

There were some lines that made me chuckle tonight. The storylines were pretty dumb and repetitive, but as long as you laugh a few times nothing wrong with that.

Classic yet modern of Family Guy
checkina-6457110 October 2022
What great yet classic episode. Both plots were interesting and freaking awesome. The main plot with Lois reminds me of an old episode of Peter and Lois spicing things up in their marriage and Stewie's subplot with driving a toy car was funny too. 9.3/10 in my opinion. So far this season is much better than last season. We need much better episodes than ever. The characters need their season 4-11 personalities back because they need rerailment and character development to make the stories interesting again. The writers really to bring back classic elements back to the show with fresh ideas, less cutaway gags and no long gags.

Too Much Partisan American Politics For A Global Audience
koepfer11 October 2022
You always know when Ramadan is, because that's the time of the year when every supermarket has a mean looking security guy at the entrance.

You always know when there's an upcoming election in the USA, because that's when Family Guy episode are sprinkled with political bias.

I would have given the episode 7 stars. It's 4 stars, because of the needless US-centric political bias that nobody outside the USA cares for.

**Remember, you are catering to a global audience.**

And yes, we do have stuff like electricity and fridges, too, which means we have money and can pay for TV shows as well.

Please try a little harder.
