Decent episode, but...

Warning: Spoilers
It was an ok episode, but this episode has been done already. This is pretty much the same as "Funny Valentine" in season 14. Told a slightly different way and with a different ending... As someone who has pretty much seen every single episode, we catch on to the fact that we've already seen them pretty quick.

I know we're trying to tell crime stories at the same time as we're telling stories about our characters, but there needs to be new material. Maybe we don't always need a highlighted crime, tell the stories of the characters. With Rollins leaving, focus on that. We can't keep recycling crime stories.

Mirror Effect

Warning: Spoilers
It looks like they are going to drag out Amanda Rollins and her personal struggles after the incident for awhile this season. We do need more storytelling like this and a break from just the case of the week, but I also don't think this is going to produce any groundbreaking TV, or even any good TV.

The Rollins and Carisi pairing is not one that I can see a lot of people caring about either, so if it is them working together, taking a strolling together or helping someone out, it is just not working. SVU feels like they need to pair people off because the network heads demand it, but it is not something I care about.
