In this ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Sheldon's usual barber is hospitalized and since the nephew there doesn't have the "haircut records" (obviously thought up by Sheldon's mom for her son's benefit when he first moved to California), Sheldon bolts. So he spends several days blowing it out of his eyes before reluctantly agreeing to let Penny do it. Meanwhile, Howard gets his astronaut training in Houston which he tells Bernadette about online. He manages to survive without food or water and manages to also endure weightless vomit! Another very funny ep of "The Big Bang Theory" this was especially when Sheldon starts playing the bongos for no particular reason or Penny-who's never played chess before-beats Leonard at it! So on that note, "The Werewolf Transformation" was another very funny ep of "The Big Bang Theory".

Howard goes through hell week as he survives Astronaut training. He is beaten and scratched and turns his intestines inside out. But Sheldon is the focus with his obsession with his haircut. The most amazing scene is when he stands over his barber, who is in a coma, and offers him a scissors. Also, Penny gets the last word.
Middling episode but haircut records are real

When I went to college (RPI), there was a barber shop in the student union. They kept index cards for each student who was a customer with the info on how they got their hair cut. I wish every place did this! It would be so easy with cellphone cameras.

I could really take or leave Howard and Bernadette by this point. The whole NASA storyline hasn't produced much in terms of comedy, and this episode is no great exception. I don't think I found anything in it remotely amusing.
It lets down an otherwise very funny episode, with the Sheldon storyline being enormous fun. Sometimes just putting him in the simplest of life situations and seeing him battle against them in his own way is very funny, and this was the case here. It's all very well played, despite a rather predictable ending.
Overall, the good outweighs the bad, and this proves to be fun.

Not really funny.

This is my opinion. I never liked Sheldon. He is very petty and selfish. He tries every which way take get a haircut from his hospitalized barber to the point of bringing a cloak and scissors. Howard is funny. So is Penny.
