- Brief vulva nudity is shown as a pregnant woman strips out of her panties and lies back. Not graphic at all.
Violence & Gore

- Easily the most violent and scary episode of season 3 and one of the most violent episodes of the whole show. The episode is also extremely emotionally affecting and sad.
- A chopped open deer is dragged across the ground with its graphic internal organs visible. The top half of the deer's body is eaten by zombies in an extremely explicit moment and then the bottom half is shown being eaten as well in slightly less graphic detail but still disgusting. A bloody deer's heart is then shown.
- A shootout against zombies takes place in the prison yard. This is very intense and many zombies are graphically shot in the head and back with blood splatters and brain visible.
- Three men shoot, stab and slash multiple zombies in the face and head.
- A man stabs a zombie in the head and the head splits right down the middle with blood and brain splattering everywhere. This is extremely horrific and graphic but very quick.
- The top of a zombie's head is graphically chopped off and it flies towards the camera with blood spraying in every direction.
- A woman goes into labour and blood drips down her legs.
- Two men have a vicious and brutal fight. They violently batter each other and fling each other until they are both bruised and bleeding.
- A man shoots a zombie with a crossbow with a gross blood spurt and stabs a zombie in the head with extremely graphic explosion of gore everywhere.
- A man graphically and surprisingly shoots another man in the head, blood and brain matter splash everywhere.
- All of the characters are soaked in blood and gore for the whole episode.
- A man's dead body is found being eaten graphically by zombies down to the flesh and the zombies are shot in the head with small blood spurts.
- A c-section is shown in extremely explicit detail with closeup shots of the stomach being cut open with a knife and being reached into as Lori goes into shock and dies with blood gushing everywhere and immediately afterwards her teen son shoots her body in the head offscreen. This is one of the most graphic moments ever shown on television as the camera shows literally everything and this is incredibly heartbreaking.
- Throughout the episode, many walkers are killed, with bloody results.
- Two characters are killed in tragic ways. One character gets bitten on the shoulder by a walker, very gory, and later sacrifices themselves to save a woman (his neck is bitten off). The other character ends up having a C-section preformed on her to save her baby and dies in the process, very bloody (immediately afterwards her young son shoots her in the head to stop her from becoming a zombie).
- A young male is shot in head.

- One of the most shocking, emotional and violent television episodes ever made. Extremely graphic and should be watched with caution. The amount of upsetting content present in this one episode alone would warrant an MPAA NC-17 Rating.
