Wasn't expecting this mid-season and was NOT disappointed!

Warning: Spoilers
Tiff and her twin children Glen/Glenda played by Lachlan Watson who does a GREAT job are featured in this episode. It was a real hoot and gave us a break from Catholiic school daze. It cleverly focuses on being a takeoff of Agatha Christie's murder mystery, Death on the Nile, The twins show up to celebrate their 18th bday as a surprise to her and it doesn't disappoint when the butler dies as a whodunit! Jennifer's close friends, Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano show up and her real sis, Meg Tilly are invited. Nica Pierce is still locked up in her house, though and Fiona Dourif continues to entertain here. Prior to the party, the twins ended up meeting her and promise to help her finally escape and she does!!!

Innovative episode

The plot of episode 4 was very interesting and it was way different than the previous episodes of season 1 & 2. The storyline was kinda well-written, even though it was kinda difficult to understand (because, there were too many references about Chucky movies and Jennifer Tilly). The characters were very interesting and well-developed (even though, I didn't know none of them). Overall, it was a nice episode, a love letter to "Chucky" fans. I have to admit, that I really liked the murder mystery concept of that episode and it was portrayed really well. The ending scene was definitely unexpected and I really can't wait for episode 5. Last but not least, the opening scene was definitely unexpected and so funny.

Glenn

I loved Lachlan Watson as Glenn / Glenda. To be honest I didn't realize they were the same actor until the end of the episode. They did fabulous, lived up to my excitement for bringing them back.

However I will say, I didn't care for the Chucky talk show, which is why I knocked it down a star rating. It was just weird especially when they brought on the wrestler chick just because she said she wanted to be killed by Chucky on a Podcast.

I loved Jennifer Tilly throughout the entire episode. She did fabulous. I wish they would keep her dressed in black like she wore in Bride but that's my only fan wish for that.

I loved seeing her with her old Bound costar and sister. The writing seemed a little weak but I think they were just rushed for the second season which is never good for the quality. Unfortunately this will probably be the last season but I enjoyed this episode.

An interesting and fun experience

Warning: Spoilers
I appreciate that there is an episode where Glen and Glenda are more front and center, as oppose to the other episodes where their appearances were either very brief or not there at all. I found the lines "Mom's a murderer?" and "Mom's a lesbian?" particularly hilarious. As far as I know, Lachlan Watson is the only non-binary actor I've seen in any show. They absolutely crushed both roles. BTW, this episode was the only thing that Sutton Stracke acted in, since she's not an actress. I found out on the Aftershow on Dead Meat. Even though this episode took us away from the main characters, it made for a fun episode.

Chucky's First Bad Episode

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Chucky Season 2 Episode 4: Episode 3 was good and I gave it a rating of 8/10. So much screen time for Tiffany's birthday party? It's a big no from me, I don't care about it. Are they that dumb? Believing that the dead guy is part of some murder mystery game? Come on... Oh boy is the whole episode about this miserable party? Where is Chucky, where are the kids? The whole pronouns thing, yeah I didn't enjoy it, feels forced and unecessary. This episode is bad in all kinds of ways. It feels so long and boring, cant wait for it to end. Chucky is so cute though. The only thing I enjoyed was the last part with Chucky. Other than that the episode is trash. My rating is 5/10.

The worst episode of the show
borneobrian27 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
While I do enjoy the show, this episode left a lot to be desired and was just a confusing mess. I don't know why chucky's kids have to be a pair of transvestites. It wasn't necessary. Also there is a stupid scene where glen and Glenda lecture these party guests on their pronouns like anyone cares. Chucky isn't even in this episode save for a meta joke where he narrates the episode masterpiece theater style. It also has a ton of plot holes like why are the twins helping nica, why and how did the become acquainted with kyle, why don't they remember seed of chucky and so on. It's a mess of an episode.
