- In the final episode of the season, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May set out to discover if you can go motor racing for less than it costs to play golf. Richard is also out on the Top Gear test track in the brand new BMW M5. James drives his childhood dream car, the Ferrari 250 California. Rock legend Slash is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
- Richard Hammond reviews the BMW M5 F10. He compares it to a BMW M1 and discusses the advances made between both models and then it's taken around the test track.
In the News they discuss a new Bentley 4x4, the new Lamborghini Aventador J.
May's dreams come true when he is given the chance to drive a £5.6 million Ferrari 250 GT California, which is owned by radio DJ Chris Evans. He takes it for a drive in Windsor Park, and claims that after all the years he has waited, driving it was not a disappointment.
The trio are presented with a challenge, in which they have to try to prove you can go Rallycross motor racing for less than it costs to play golf. Clarkson invests in a BMW 328i, Hammond a Citroën Saxo VTS and May a Toyota MR2.
The episode has two celebritys in "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car". The first featured is F1 driver Kimi Räikkönen. Later Ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash are interviewed and then completes a lap of the track. He is also present at the end of the show, standing on the Toyota Hilux plinth playing the his version of the Top Gear theme song.
