The Whiny Reviews Are Tiresome

Give it a rest, conservatives. Every show can have a viewpoint, even if it isn't your own. It must be exhausting to have to complain so often that a show doesn't fit your narrow mindset. Public hospitals have their funding cut, usually from conservative leaderships. Why? Usually because conservatives believe that private hospitals are better at providing care. Just another viewpoint. So please, just relax and watch the show. No need to have a coronary only to end up in a for-profit hospital asking how good your insurance is.

But let's dive deeper, shall we? It's fascinating how every storyline that deviates from your worldview becomes an affront to your existence. It's as if the mere existence of diverse perspectives is a personal attack. The show's portrayal of underfunded public hospitals is not a baseless liberal fantasy but a reflection of reality. Maybe it's time to face the uncomfortable truth that not everyone benefits from a privatized healthcare system. So, instead of clutching your pearls and typing up another angry comment, how about taking a moment to enjoy some quality drama? Who knows, you might even learn something. Or, heaven forbid, develop a bit of empathy. No need to worry, you can always change the channel if it gets too real for you.

The Better Part of Valor

Warning: Spoilers
I will give the show credit for revisiting the Bell and "Do Harm" bit that was such a crucial element of the program for the first two years. It is a little hypocritical that the fellow doctors would ever forgive Bell or cover for him, but that is the world of TV I guess.

They are at least trying something and that helps this series be a lot different from the other medical dramas out there which are just relationship drama (which The Resident also has) and fairly pedestrian case of the week issues. This is also what has helped the show stay on Fox for longer than the majority of their programs last.

More ridiculous hollywood politicalization
amorehl14 December 2022
So tired of hollywood's blatant and unrealistic politicalization of shows that used to be intended as entertainment for its audience. They used to at least be subtle about it, but now it's just open and obvious because, apparently, they can get it away with it. Ratings also used to matter, but with the fractionalization of the audience with all the viewing choices, laughingly low ratings are now seemingly acceptable; in fact, they seem to be of no consequence whatsoever. But I'll be interested to see what happens as time goes on because, whatever the latest generation is called, they don't even WATCH TV shows. They prefer to watch videos on the net. What will the networks do then? Implode? If so, it will serve them right.
