Dog vs principal
critterdhs0529 August 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is slow but it start out as a normal everyday students who don't get along. Cause people look different on the outside. Mr Drum one of the boring teacher who slowly speaks his words Helps the kid out with some other adults in the school. While hiding the dog from the Principal who calls the city shelter which is a kill shelter.

As the students get to the school in summer they are borning and don't want to be their they found a stray puppy name chewing so they start hiding the dog in a locker... than a music room. Than one takes one home at night.

The dog also which i thought was funny its a spoiler alert though i share it anyways. Mr Drum has know about the puppy for weeks so he takes the puppy for one day to give students a break. He also stats that the puppy is sleeping like his students does.

The kids will love it!
lozareth-19 September 2012
OK let's start by saying that this is not the worst movie I have seen. In fact I actually found it quite funny. However, the problem with this movie was more how it was made. First there's Mr Drone. Yes his name says it all! At the start of the movie when we were introduced to him he 'droned on' for what seemed like hours. There was no need for it to be so long! The filming was terrible! When the puppy was introduced it could have been shorter as well. More comedy would have been good. The acting wasn't that great but it wasn't terrible. The main characters were great and how the janitor kept popping in was good as well. This shows how kids from the same school that never get on can work together to achieve something. I think this is a one time watch. The kids will love it!

For kindergarten to 5th graders only
Duke-5611 September 2012
The best thing about this film is the dog...we only liked the film when the dog was on the screen.. .bad acting, bad directing, but kids would love it.

I picked it up at red box just because the cute puppy on the box...this dog is not in the movie.....the adults are lame and worse than the kids....but then kids would not care.

Too much lame dialog and not enough of the dog

This should stay on Saturday movie shows for kiddie shows.

Please send copies of this movie to schools so kids can see it. They will enjoy watching stupid teachers lame dialog.

Putting a said puppy as milked in the movie...in a cage to small or locker for it....is torture.

Not for the dog but for adults watching this.

Horribly portrays shelters
xcupcakefrosting6 June 2013
Warning: Spoilers
The students within the movie have a terrible outlook on shelters and humane societies along with what 'No Kill' shelters are, also involves common misconceptions on all of those listed above. The storyline is very simple, and has a lot of holes within it. The movie is 'cute', but is a movie that I'll probably never watch again, was hardly worth the time, not very well thought out characters or child-actors. Something for younger kids to watch, but make sure to teach that its not right, and down right inhumane to stuff a puppy in a small trap (such that the principal did), a backpack, a desk drawer and a locker. Also address the reality behind Humane Societies and shelters. Not all have a time limit for animals, and even 'no kills' use euthanasia if an animal gets sick, and is aggressive, they also have the ability to close their doors when they're full. Again, every scene within the movie was very predictable and unrealistic. A good way to spend free time, but not a movie that is to die for.

Absolutely Horrible
cyhutch-15 September 2012
Unintelligent dribble. I cannot believe anyone could make this, then have the balls to put it out there to be seen. So full of script errors and dumb scenarios that it's insulting. It's a good example of what not to do when making a film...stereotypical characters...4x3...bad freeze frames. I seriously thought this may have been shot in 1988. But no, 2012. How does this even get an audience? I know kids who can make a better film. I have to write a few more lines so that IMDb will take this critique (equally dumb, but okay). I can do that. I can keep on writing how much this film sucks. The acting for the most part is bad. But that's probably because the directing was so bad. But then, it goes back to a bad script and a dumb concept. Have I covered everything yet? Probably have said more than enough, but let me count...hold on...oh boy, I have 10 lines! I can now stop saying how inane this horrible film is. I will say, I hope the filmmakers have since learned how to make a watchable film. Or, perhaps they've gone back to their day jobs.

Bloopers Abound
tjfack1 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
This is a cute movie, I would not have paid to see it in theaters, but it was good for home viewing. A couple of 'spoilers', but not enough to ruin the movie. My wife and I lost count of the bloopers and story faults, but that makes this budget cut movie so cute, and watchable too.

I suggested she get the movie for her sixth grade class to watch. They could write down the errors, and either discuss them or write a report, a great way to see if they are really watching. Like the fact that the dog on the cover is not the one in the movie. The movie does have many redeeming qualities, I like the point that is made about the children learning more then their assigned studies. School is not all about the three 'R's.

great for children
lalanaglasgow2 November 2020
This is a good movie for kids, it doesn't have all the worldly stuff in it that most kids are subjected to now. If you want a good wholesome movie for your child this is it. I loved showing this to my class at school.

This is different movie about kids go summer school. Chewy the pup wanders around in the school. Kids looking out for pup from the princple. It was good and funny. Kids' teacher might be boring but he's kinda funny in way and which he is cool later. Don't wanna spoil it.
