The last 5 minutes had me in tears. Kelli Williams was amazing. I think the premise of the show should be re written around her character and story. She is far more compelling. Her storyline. Her ability to emote. The little stuttering she does. Her acting ability has deepened since her days in Lie To Me. I love that the show displays her same ability in this show. She shows such temperament and depth of grief. I couldn't help but weep. I'm not talking about a few tears. I was full on crying. The show can have the current lead disappear. The rest of the team can come together and look for her on the side.

Good story, bad directing

I can't stand shows that don't reach their full potential. You got a good cast, good storyline but you make good actors bad. The main character is to scripted. The supporting cast is good except for the cop who's also over acting. You can almost see everything coming. There's nothing natural about the characters. You're trying to make the audience know what they're feeling instead of just allowing people to figure it out themselves. It's bad directing if you ask me. Someone needs to take a script from the closer first season. You're taking away the surprises. Plus some of the scenes in the first couple of episodes aren't realistic. If I go back to the first episode, where the 14-year-old was missing, they were watching somebody in the alleyway but you could see them from the car. What's the need to have cameras. And they're also talking from a different place like the people are right there with them. Please do better. This could be such a good series.
