Thanks to all sort of National Geographic like TV channels I have seen quite a lot of animal movies. Some go as far as going to remote places to film the animals in their own natural environment, yet almost none is plain about knowing the animal and its habitat. Almost every film I have seen in this category is about some human posing as a knowledgeable individual. And the more they speak more ridiculous the host becomes by showing the ignorance and the need to look important: me me me.

In the case of The Zoo in Winter, Jonathan Miller is me me me. Yet it is a pleasure to see the personal story unfold. In the end, all Miller expresses is "here is my experience" and there is no need of fake posing.
