- Someone has stolen Lewis Carroll's Mirror from inside the Warehouse allowing the psychotic and murderous spirit of Alice Liddell to escape again. Our team must stop her killing spree before one of them ends up dead.
- "Warehouse 13" - "Fractures" - August 27, 2012
Steve is doing research on how to get off the metronome. Artie tells him to keep at it and will help when he returns from his visit with Dr.Vanessa. He say he's about to ask her to move in with him. Claudia, Jinks, Pete, and Myka support this.
The Warehouse has been pingless for 48 hours, a record. Which of course won't last.
We cut to a Catholic thrift store where a priest and a very shy young woman are working on processing clothes and donations. The young woman, Kristen, goes to unpackage a mirror that was just donated to the mission. There is an old camera next to the mirror, with a sign reading "Click Me", which she does. After the flash of light, she turns to see a coquetteish young woman. They reach out to each other and Kristen is pulled into the mirror. When Kristen comes out of the storeroom, she is totally different and starts hitting on and kissing the priest. She demands that he tell her where "L'Etoile" is, he says he has no idea what she is talking about. She then stabs him and brains him and runs off. She then recklessly drives through town in the church van nearly causing accidents. When she looks in the rearview mirror, the reflection is the coquettish woman, who urges Kristen to "show some skin". She gets distracted unbuttoning her shirt and gets into an accident and ends up in restraints at the hospital screaming at the top of her lungs.
The priest meets with Pete and Myka, telling them that Kristen was totally different from the gentle girl he knows. They then go talk to Kristen, who has been screaming that she is going to "kill you all" as she watches them through the windows of her room. She calls them both by name, then compliments Pete on his physique. She then tries to break his finger. She is loony. They go to check out the thrift store. After they leave, the girl lures a male orderly into letting her out of the restraints, where upon she bashes him in the head and escapes. Before she leaves the orderly told her where "L'Etoile" is.
Artie shows up at the hotel to meet Vanessa all nervous and cute. They have the premium suite. He dances her around a bit romantically, very, very cute. He has a surprise for her, an old bicycle bell (not an artifact) that goes on a bike like she had as a kid.
Jinks continues to research and Claudia comes in and wonders why he wasn't up for a mission and helping Pete and Myka. She wonders what he's afraid of. He says he's not afraid he just wants to take it easy. She wonders who died and made him the boss of her. He points out he did. She thinks he's afraid of dying again. He says he's not.
At the thrift store they find a trail of blood that leads them to the light that says "click me." And Pete, of course, clicks it. The mirror is in shards on the floor. They prop up the mirror and realize it's Lewis Carroll's mirror-- which they already captured in a memorable episode when Myka was possessed by it-- and that Kristen isn't Kristen she's Alice the doll.
Pete and Myka race back to the hospital and find the orderly on the floor. They track her blood trail to outside teh hospital and spot Alice. But she's not Alice anymore, she's Kristen. Alice escaped. Myka thinks she's jumped into another body now and just as they realize this, a guy runs out and demands to know where his ambulance is. There is a revving of engine and they see someone taking off in the ambulance. Claudia and Jinks are tasked to find a way to contain Alice since the mirror is broken and figure out how the mirror got out. Of course, Jinks knows.
Claudia and Jinks walk through the dark room looking for clues. Claudia picks up little black diamonds and Jinks lets slip that Artie knows that artifacts are being stolen and by whom. Leena arrives to help. Jinks is shocked that Artie lied about telling Claudia what is going on, Claudia is worried about Artie.
Pete and Myka track down the ambulance and find Alice body jumping and wreaking havoc in her wake. They decide it's time to call Artie.
He is currently enjoying his date with Vanessa. He asks to see her more often and she says she'd like that. He's about to give her a little gift he got her when Pete calls to say Alice is on the loose on the way to someplace called L'Etoile. Which is the name of the restaurant Artie and Vanessa are at. Just then a waitress comes over with complimentary champagne and Artie sees in a reflection that it's Alice. He pushes her and grabs Vanessa and runs and then sets off the fire alarm. Pete and Myka arrive. They realize she's hunting Artie. Artie tells them that they can tell if it is Alice by the reflection of the person they are looking at.
Jinks, Leena, and Claudia have discovered an artifact, the caterpillar's hookah from "Alice in Wonderland" which can trap souls in it. As she's climbing a mountain of artifacts to get it she jostles some kind of spear which almost hits Steve and when it hits the ground sends off sparks that cause Jinks and Claudia's auras to briefly swap and Leena sees this. She asks Steve what's up and he shuts her down. She says she's only seen that once before and it ended badly so he needs to be careful.
Pete and Myka walk around the scene. Myka's wearing mirrored sunglasses so Pete can see Alice's reflection. They find her in a fireman just as Alice is heading toward Artie with an axe. Then she jumps from person to peron as Pete and Myka give chase. They reassure Artie they'll find her. They decide to set a trap. They head to their hotel to plant Artie and each person will take an exit and then they'll trap her with the hookah. He wants to send Vanessa to safety and she wants to stay in the field and he allows it, handing her a mirror.
Myka tells Pete the story of how Alice went mad at a party thrown by Lewis Carroll when she found a gun and accidentally killed her own mother in front of the mirror that eventually would become her prison.
Alice, now in the body of a bellman, grabs Vanessa and takes her hostage and then jumps into Vanessa's body who then grabs Artie and puts the shard to Artie's throat. She drags Artie into another room as the gang rushes toward them. Alice tortures him and says she's going to do unspeakable things to Vanessa's body and then slit her throat. She says this is what Artie gets for playing with other people's toys. Artie tells her that he knows who sent her and why. He begs her to leave Vanessa alone. The gang busts in and Artie elbows Vanessa/Alice, Claudia tries to use the hookah but it backfires and Alice jumps into her. Claudia turns on Artie and is about to stab him with the shard, like his vision, when Pete intervenes and Claudia stabs him, and in turn hurts herself. Jinks traps Alice in the shard and they bag her.
Everyone leaves and Artie says he and Vanessa have to break up because he puts her in danger. She says she wants to take the risk. She refuses to let him quit. Artie says it's not a debate and his life has become more complicated right now and he can't do this. She says that when he realizes that cutting himself off from people who care about him is a terrible idea he should call her because she's not going anywhere.
Jinks explains to Claudia about their shared pain. He wants to disconnect from the metronome and she says no and she can handle the pain. He wonders if she can handle death. She says they'll figure it out.
Pete, Myka, Claudia, and Jinks confab about the black diamonds, the missing artifacts, and Artie's secretiveness and wonder what who is trying to protect them from.
Artie goes to the dark room in the Warehouse and calls out to who/whatever the thief is and says he will stop him. He checks on the astrolabe, it's still safe. He leaves and we see Leena sneak around the stone column that has the astrolabe, artifact bag in hand.
