An encouragement to filmmakers we've frequently made here on S&A is to explore new genres and styles of filmmaking, given the wealth of relationship comedies/relationship dramedies/relationship dramas (whether shorts, features, or web series) that fill our email inboxes from time to time. But if you absolutely must make a film/web series that fits underneath that "relationship" genre umbrella, at least consider doing something fresh with it, whether stylistically, structurally, narratively, etc. Do something that makes it stand out from the deluge.
