'Go On' takes a massive gamble here by introducing the ghost of Ryan's wife Janie into the mix.
I admit I was sceptical about this when it first occured, but actually this grows into being another very strong and lovely episode of a show at this stage I can't believe didn't go for longer.
It helps that Matthew Perry and Christine Woods have great chemistry, and you really believe that they would be a couple who would grow old together. They make the slightly off kilter plot work perfectly.
It's also a testament to the writers and the cast who play them that the supporting characters have been deemed strong enough at this early stage to carry their own plot.
Another excellent episode.
