When we think about an author who takes their sweet time to finish a book, we generally picture George Martin and his notorious The Winds of Winter. Stephen King, on the other hand, is known as an extremely prolific writer who pumps out stories like there’s no tomorrow — but apparently, it took him almost half a century to finish one of his novellas, The Answer Man.
Even Martin’s only been at it for 13 years, and he’s writing an enormous multi-pov novel. What made the King of Horror postpone his short story for so much longer?
King Explains Why The Answer Man Got… Delayed
Delay is definitely a tame word for a 45-years-long period, but let’s roll with it. After all, technically, that’s exactly what it was: as funny as that would have been, Stephen King did not take half a century of actual active writing to finish a 50-page novella.

The Good Place Season 4 Episode 9
Don’t you just love it when a TV show surprises you? Through three seasons, surprises were kind of The Good Place’s thing. The Good Place season 4, bless its heart, has largely struggled with the element of surprise. Sure we’ve gotten a Bad Janet spy here or a “Chip Driver solves the crime on page 10” there. But this season’s surprises haven’t been accompanied by the crushing emotional resonance of previous seasons’.
Finally in The Good Place season 4 episode 9 “The Answer,” the show introduces its first big expectation rattler and in the process tells the most emotional and complete story of this final season yet. Perhaps, the direction “The Answer” takes shouldn’t catch anyone off guard.

During a Sunday interview with host John Catsimatidis on his New York radio show called “The Answer,” former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is “winning” the battle to impeach President Donald Trump.
Bannon says his motives for speaking out are to help fend off impeachment, so he’s promoting a new podcast called “War Room: Impeachment” because “we gotta get organized right now,” Bannon said.

Spike Lee's Inside Man (2006) and Do the Right Thing (1989) are showing on Mubi in many countries around the world in January and February, 2019.Forty-five minutes into Spike Lee’s 2006 Inside Man, Clive Owen’s mysterious bank robber Dalton Russell negotiates with Denzel Washington’s detective Keith Frazier a food delivery for the 50 or so people he’s holding hostage inside the fictional Wall Street-headquartered Manhattan Trust Bank. The food smuggled through the horde of cops surrounding the building is pizza, and the boxes the slices come in read: Sal’s Famous Pizzeria. I wish I could say I spotted the intertextual connection right away, but it took Lee’s DVD commentary to illuminate the link between his 2006 star-studded thriller and the family-owned Bedford-Stuyvesant restaurant that staged his 1989 Do the Right Thing. “Sal’s pizzeria,” Lee comments, somewhat sarcastically, “burned down in Brooklyn, and moved to Wall Street.”Revisiting the...

After a death, a group of friends set out to the woods in search of adventure and the bonding of great friendships. No, this is not a Stand By Me remake, it’s The Answer.
Following the tragic and sudden death of a spouse, a group of friends take their recently widowed friend out on a camping trip to the woods in hopes of bringing him back from the deep hole of depression.
Okay, so maybe Stand By Me and The Answer doesn’t have the exact same premise but it’s kind of close, right? Anyways, the film is described as a “male chick flick,” whatever that means. The Answer got off to a quick and interesting start. Gavin’s (Christian Bester) wife dies in a brutal car accident while he is out doing a book signing. The film keeps the darkness lingering throughout the film with some light jokes.

“Steven Universe” fans recently cheered at a wedding kiss between two female characters, the latest example of how the Cartoon Network series has broken new ground for its frank portrayal of sexuality and gender identity in children’s programming.
Since its premiere in 2013 on Cartoon Network, the show has wielded zany comedy, drama, and visual metaphors to teach its children—and adult—viewers that identity isn’t chained to heteronormativity. Inspired by creator Rebecca Sugar’s experience with her bisexuality and feminism, “Steven Universe” has been championing Lgbtq visibility for five seasons.
The same-sex relationship between Ruby and Sapphire, from an onscreen marriage proposal to an uncensored lip-to-lip kiss, led to some earth-shattering milestones of Lgbtq visibility in kids’ shows. But the kiss and wedding were not the only instances of queer expression in “Steven Universe.”

The Answer is a sci-fi, action, thriller, romance that is every bit as generic as its title. We are introduced to the mundane world of Bridd Cole (Austin Hebert), a quiet loner with a knack for underachieving, who uses his superpower to help a friend earn a promotion the friend is in no way qualified for. Across the office we have Charlotte (Alexis Carra), a wild haired, pretty face whose only superpower is her ability to wear a dress so tight it’s used as an Israeli interrogation devise.
If you’re a fan of The Bourne Identity but wished it had been made by the SyFy channel, you’re depressing wish has been granted. Upon watching this film, I was teased by poster art that featured at Snake-Eyes-ish badass, underneath space...
