- Captain Hook: I did some quality damage to my foe.
- Emma Swan: You hurt Belle.
- Captain Hook: I hurt his heart. Belle's just where he keeps it.
- Emma Swan: Keep smiling, buddy. You're chained down. He's on his feet, immortal, has magic, and you hurt his girl. If I were to pick dead guy of the year... I'd pick you.
- Ruby: Look, you're Frankenstein. And I'm the werewolf. I *ate* my boyfriend. Regina thought she was punishing us by erasing who we were. But I think she underestimated how much crap we wanted to forget.
- Rumplestiltskin: [introducing himself] Stiltskin. Rumple Von Stiltskin.
- Victor Frankenstein: A foreigner.
- Rumplestiltskin: What tipped you off? My rosy complexion?
- Captain Hook: [to Emma] Let's talk about something I am interested in - my hook. May I have it back? Or is there another attachment you'd prefer?
- [David is trying to unlock the stranger's phone]
- David Nolan: Leroy, can you get it open or something? Hack it?
- Leroy: Well, you do understand that computer hacking and pickax hacking are different.
- Dr. Whale: [referring to the stranger] Gold. You fixed me. Now fix him. It will take you seconds, and cost you nothing.
- Mr. Gold: No.
- Dr. Whale: No? Just... "no"?
- Mr. Gold: I owe you nothing, Whale. I owe none of you anything, and some of you owe me. So, yeah - just, no. Oh, and point of interest, the driver? He saw me throwing some magic. So, instead of trying to get him outta here, you better be hoping he dies, because if he doesn't, he's gonna be driving tour buses up and down Main Street. So glad I don't give a damn!
- [Regina is cross with Cora for framing her for Archie Hopper's alleged murder]
- Regina Mills: Come with me. We're going to town.
- Cora: It's the middle of the night.
- Regina Mills: I don't care. We'll wake them up - Emma and Henry and the two idiots, and you can tell them how you lied. You owe me that.
- Cora: And then you'll let us start over?
- Regina Mills: I don't see that happening, Mother. But I am- I *was* trying so hard to be worthy of Henry. And I deserve the same thing from you.
- [the townspeople are discussing the stranger, the first outsider coming into Storybrooke]
- Ruby: So, whatever has kept random people from stumbling into Storybrooke for the last 28 years...
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: It's gone.
- David Nolan: Anyone could drive in. Why are my instincts telling me that's a bad thing?
- Leroy: 'cause you've seen E.T. or Splash, or any other movie where they find somet'n' magical and study it to death. Think what they'd do to a werewolf.
- [Ruby gives him a look]
- Cora: Hello, Rumple.
- Mr. Gold: Well, I expected this was just a matter of time. Had hoped you were dead, but hey - disappointment's just part of life, I'm sure we can agree on that.
- Cora: Mm, the crocodile snaps at the little bird. And after I brought you a gift.
- Mr. Gold: Yeah, did you bring the antidote, too?
- Emma Swan: You're awfully chipper for a guy who just failed to kill his enemy, then got hit by a car.
- Captain Hook: Well, my ribs may be broken, but everything else is still intact, which is more than can be said for other bad days I've had.
- Dr. Whale: It's not really murder if we let him succumb to his injuries.
- Emma Swan: I'm pretty sure it is.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Of course we save him.
- David Nolan: Obviously.
- Leroy: Well...
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Leroy!
- David Nolan: Let's talk to him.
- Emma Swan: We're not talking to him as a group. We're not a group-sheriff.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: But we've been doing this together.
- Emma Swan: We're trying to convince this guy this place is normal. In a normal town, the sheriff goes in and asks a few questions. She doesn't bring her parents in with her.
- Henry Mills: Frankenstein isn't in here. It's not even a fairy tale. That means it comes from another land with different stories... If the curse went to places with other stories, then who knows who else is in this town?
- Mr. Gold: We have a long history, so know this and know it to be true. If any harm comes to Belle while I'm gone, I'm killing all of you.
- [Frankenstein senior is furious about Victor using his dead brother for his experiments]
- Victor Frankenstein: It can work! I did this for you too, Father. I wanted you to have two sons again.
- Alphonse: And now I have none!
- Emma Swan: His name is Greg Mendell. Now let's see - pictures of him alone at a bunch of Eastern seaboard tourist locations, a LinkedIn account and he tweets pictures of his food. I'll keep looking, but I think what we have here is a well-documented real-life ordinary Joe. Or Greg.
- Emma Swan: We'll watch Hook and figure out options if Whale doesn't come back.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Maybe Doc can do it.
- Leroy: [laughs hysterically] Surgery? No.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Maybe he didn't even run. Maybe Cora grabbed him for some reason.
- David Nolan: I don't think so. He's been in a rough place since he brought Regina's fiance back to life.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Daniel?
- Emma Swan: Back to life?
- David Nolan: And had his arm ripped off and put back on.
- Leroy: Cool.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Wait. Daniel came back?
- Emma Swan: Like some kind of Frankenstein?
- David Nolan: That's Whale. The doctor. And Daniel was his-...
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: What went on here while we were gone?
- Rumplestiltskin: Did it work? No?
- Victor Frankenstein: There was a little problem with what the heart could withstand.
- Rumplestiltskin: Ah! Problems of the heart. Isn't that always the way?
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Rumplestiltskin and Captain Hook had a fight, and someone got hurt.
- Emma Swan: We weren't sure if Dr. Frankenstein could fix him, but he did.
- Henry Mills: Doctor? Oh. That's who Whale is.
- Emma Swan: Yeah, but without the neck bolts.
- Henry Mills: The monster had the bolts, not the doctor.
- Emma Swan: Right, but either way, some of us having known him it's weird.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: [Awkwardly] It's not weird. We're past it. We were cursed.
- Henry Mills: What are you talking about?
- David Nolan: Nothing.
- Victor Frankenstein: I can't bring back dead loved ones, anyway, if that's what you're after.
- Rumplestiltskin: I think my deceased are best kept where they are, dearie, thank you very much.
- David Nolan: He's gonna make it?
- Dr. Whale: He's got some recuperating ahead of him a few weeks maybe, but yes. He's going to live.
- Mary Margaret Blanchard: Thank goodness.
- Dr. Whale: Or me.
