- During the year 4000 B.C.E., King Gilgamesh feared the inevitable oncoming of death. In hopes to escape what all humans are destined for inevitably, he sought a plant which according to legend, would give one eternal life. Embarking on a great quest, he finally happens upon it. But upon his flee from the Mount Mashu, a Serpent confronts him regaining possession of the plant. Over time, an undocumented cataclysmic event occurs which causes a major geological upheaval. The plant is again lost along with all its mysterious powers. Now it's 2023, and during this time, a major Oil Company in Alliance with a Deep-Sea Mining Company, working in conjunction with a team of Oceanographers, are conducting research via a covert mobile drilling platform to obtain core samples in hopes of finding precious metals around an underwater extinct volcano site. A seismic event occurs which opens the ocean floor revealing an entrance way that had remained hidden for thousands of years. A young couple furtively obtains information from an oceanography department about the event, and ventures to the very area in hopes of finding something of great value. Their journey takes them into a subterranean world only to gain possession of a mythical plant: the same in which Gilgamesh had lost. Little do they realize what powers the plant possesses, and a serpent that is unleashed which terrorizes a small coastal town in an attempt to retrieve what doesn't belong to them.—Allen Driscoll
