Sex & Nudity

  • None.
  • One character makes a colloquial reference to masturbation regarding another character.

Violence & Gore

  • Gore only appears in the form of very small amounts of blood, as well as bruises or calluses.
  • There are scenes in which men are shot to death by other men, including civilians being gunned down by uniformed combatants. In just about every instance, there is a single shot to the upper torso. In one scene, a man dies as his back is punctured by the sharp edge of a hatchet thrown by another man. In another, a man slits another man's throat, and a jet of blood briefly flows. Most often is the case that an unarmed man is fleeing the man who ultimately slays him.
  • In a scene toward the ending, a character stabs another character in the thigh.
  • Earlier on, a man slaps a small teenager across the cheek.
  • There is a scene of a man with this hands loosely but threateningly wrapped around a small teenager's neck, as he chastises him, after the man having shoved the teen to the ground.

Profanity

  • Moderate language. Three GDs. Several times, "nigger" is uttered.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A young teenager takes a sip of whiskey in a clear glass bottle, but he isn't shown in an altered state of mind. (As well, the whiskey had been purchased by the teen. For the time period in which the story takes place, this was legal. He is shown briefly vomiting a very small amount, in the morning.)
  • No other use of alcohol or drugs is portrayed in the movie, nor do such things appear or be referenced.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Mild. Some of the more suspenseful scenes may convey an intense tone, as threats are portrayed.
