Jan and Tony visit Dr. Gaff. They not only share a life together, they share the same ailment. Their tongue ties are so severe, it has created serious medical issues outside of their mouths. For Jan, years long neck pain and for Tony, a life-threatening sleep issue. Their tongue releases give them a new lease on life.
Natalie, Dr. Do's Dental Assistant pops her head in to address a discoloration in her mouth that has concerned her for years. Fearing it may be cancer, she confides in her boss, and both decide it's time to address it head on. Heidi visits Dr. Gaff and is greeted by her mom Lindsay, Dr. Gaff's Dental Assistant. At only 15 years old, Lindsay's lip tie has propelled her into gum recession, and she is embarrassed by her smile.
Kelly visits Dr. Gaff for veneers that were applied directly onto her bone. A previous dentist suggested a barbaric fix that would take months to heal and cost thousands. Presented with a laser option, she's healed in a week. Ginny, Dr. Do's friend had a dermatologist remove a bump on her lip with a surgical procedure and it grew back. Turns out, the issue runs much deeper than anticipated.
Elizabeth pays a visit to Dr. Do. She's had a lisp for 23 years and didn't know it was due to her severe tongue tie until now. In a matter of seconds, this young woman's life as she knows it will change before your eyes. Rounding out the season, Dr. Gaff's husband Brad, also a dentist, has his wife work on his teeth with the same laser that made them fall in love with one another 10 years ago.
