I had high hopes seeing Reese Witherspoon was creating- and bc I grew up on Mobile Bay. I couldn't stand it. The main cast looks wildly uncomfortable trying to remember their lines for their fake conversations, and The Magnolia Ball? Get real. Fairhope also has WAY more than two traffic lights & one bar. It's a gorgeous town with a storied history- love it. Got married there. But this portrayal is just sad. Hated to see it caricatured the way it was. There could've been so many more interesting ways to approach this. If it DOES get picked up for another season, consider hiring local consultants and for the love of god- please get rid of the scripted writing and narration.

I feel like everything is the same now on tv and streaming. Refreshing to see a new take on reality. I liked the lessons and that you had to figure out what was real and what wasn't. Found myself googling everything lol and it seems that Fairhope is an actual place but the facts were enhanced to make it more fantasy? Cool. I think Abby actually dated Trevor from what I can see with their exchange on IG and Lashoundra was married to Kendall. Binged it a day. My only critique is that I wish the episodes were a little longer wanted to get to know the characters more... and a little more about their world. Season 2 now pls.

Have you ever watched a TV show and felt embarrassed for the actors? Well, that's exactly how I feel about this particular show. The acting is horrible. Their fakeness shows immensely and it's genuinely cheesy. Waste of time waste and a waste of money. If I were you I would keep moving and not waste your valuable minutes on this low budget reality show. After watching one full episode, I couldn't even force myself to watch another one. Even the camera angles are ridiculous and cheesy. I'm not sure who's acting is worse Abby, the homecoming, queen or the bartender. The best thing I can say about this show is Fairhope Beach is a very pretty place.

This was so well done. Small town American. I love the story telling!! I am hoping this goes for another season! I love the fact that the actors were real people!!

It seems to me that is was done a very professional way. These days some of the negative people just write to write! Crazy out there. This was a winner!!

This covers all kinds of people in this story. It is called real life! I actually need to go to Fairhope. It looks just beautiful. There have been a few movies made there. Fingers are crossed for another season!!

This was a nice combination of scripted fantasy life. I'm not a big fan of shows like the Bachelor, but I liked this show!!

As someone who lives on the bay I'm appalled. My husband and I work in Fairhope. Him on the reg and me a few times a month. It's not a one stop light one bar town. It's beautiful place full of culture and a lot more intelligent people than this depicts. I understand it's a " fictional reality " which is am oxymoron but come on... I'm Not even sure all the shots are from town. The beauty and charm of Fairhope is so strong and this is a sad representation of what this town that I love so much actually is. Really disappointed in this . If your gonna do a pseudo reality show at least make it accurate.

Its about time someone had the guys to produce a new reality show! Bravo HULU. THIS A FANTASTIC BINGABLE SHOW YOU CAN WATCH WITH YOUR KIDS!!

Lauren Weber is a talented story teller that has a bright future. I look forward to seeing more of her programs in the future.

My favorite episode is 5 and 6. The super star support cast is Brit.

And although Kirky can't sing..I hope to have him sign happy birthday to me some day as a gag!

This is TERRIBLE.

It's a drama and a reality show? What does that mean?

The show is clearly scripted with generally cliched and predictable dialog but sometimes, the dialog is so indescribably bad that I wonder if it was written after the WGA strike started and the crew was forced to recruit writers off of the barstools of some crab shack in the Alabama gulf town in which it was filmed.

Then there is the acting... Some of the minor performers appear to be well trained and give credence to some scenes.

The leads appear to be coached scene by scene in poses, inflection and micro expression.

It's not a good look, particularly when 2 apparently untrained leads are in a scene alone, waiting patiently for the other to finish their line.

Then there is the glossy, charming production itself, set in a lovely American town. The camera, lighting, sound, costume and makeup crew are also clearly on a shoestring budget ( no kidding, they appear to have one dolly and 2 back yards) but somehow manage to make this hot mess look and feel like an art film.

It is due to the smart visual and sound context that I stuck with this for 4 episodes.

Love in Fairhope gets one star for the teleplay ( is that what it is? I can't tell) and 8 for the production value.

I don't recommend watching it. I do recommend some production company put the entire crew to good use with a script, actors and a decent budget.

I loved this show, especially the overall calmness and light that each scene brought in. The talent of the camera guys and showing the amazing parts of the south was enjoyable to see as well! I loved each story and that it was so diverse! Can't wait for season 2! I loved that the age groups of each person was so different, and that their stories were so different. You are so used to seeing very generic white/white relationships, especially in the south, and I loved that the show broadcasted both those relationships, but so many more and I appreciate that knowing that everyone had the opportunity to get their name out there regardless of their race or sexual preference. Well done!

This show is so overwhelmingly cheesy that it becomes a spectacle in its own right. The over-the-top, clearly staged acting by the cast transforms each scene into a cringe-worthy yet oddly captivating display. It's the kind of show where the lines between terrible and hilariously bad are blurred, making you question whether to laugh or groan - or maybe do both. Each episode is like watching a train wreck: messy, and impossible to ignore. The show's commitment to its cheesy nature might just be its saving grace, offering a unique experience for those who revel in the ludicrous. So, break out your favorite cheese snacks, because this show demands nothing less!

It's a bit cheesy but I loved it! No screaming and flipping tables, it was refreshing. I like how the cast seemed real and down to earth. Plus they all got along well, for the most part. I know some specific things, like how close they live to the beach was fiction, but the relationships and friendships were real. I was pretty surprised that the show only got a 3.3 on Imdb because it wasn't bad at all. I gave it a 7 because I really liked it. I'm also a big fan of reality TV so if that's the kind of shows you don't like, I suggest skipping this show. Oh one last thing, there is plenty of eye candy which is mostly the men not wearing their shirts which I was all for!

Dude. This was super cute. I love the switching up of characters storylines, shows a wide array of love in different walks of life and in a super cute town in Alabama. Television is over saturated with what life is like in California or New York it was nice to get a little slice of the south! I also liked the mix up of reality and fantasy, clearly these are REAL people living REAL lives, but how does that make it any less different of any person on instagram or any other social media platform? We all play a little bit of fantasy on social media to seem "perfect" or more "thrilling" so it's no different than this tv show, at least they're honest about it and tell us!

Also, Abby, need a hair and makeup routine ASAP.

I do not watch a lot of television especially lately because everything is so depressing or about crime or murder. This show is so sweet and hopeful-- made me really escape and reminded me that I can find love again. I watched it all in one night, well actually until the morning kept me glued and I felt very invested in each of the women. Mya Jo was my favorite- and Claiborne was probably my second. They both seem like people I would be friends with but all in all loved the women wish there a couple more episodes do feel it ended a little too soon or maybe the episodes could have been a bit longer. Makes me want to love to Fairhope!

Absolutely loved Love in Fairhope. What a nice change from the reality tv we're used to seeing. The storylines and relationship dynamics were authentic and relatable. Realistic drama that we've all found ourselves in at some point or another. Abby's relationship with her mother is so real and raw, and it definitely gives context into why she approaches relationships the way she does. LaShoundra's vulnerability in navigating her divorce is brave and something to be admired. The cast is so beautiful and the scenery is stunning. Definitely want to see each of the characters and storylines continue to develop!! Hoping for a second season!

I absolutely LOVED this season, I watched it all the through from beginning to end in one sitting, I couldn't take my eyes away! I loved its scriptedness, its not like other reality shows that are trying to convince you its 100% real though its not. This one is scripted but has doses of reality in it and I love that shift. It was a perfect watch for the season, cozy and sweet. Like a good book. Not overly dramatic, but not boring. I loved it and I hope it gets renewed for a second season. I can't wait to know more about these story lines, and meet new characters. Its a refreshing change to the "reality TV" take on love "drama" that isn't too serious and I simply couldn't get enough of it.

Love in Fairhope was a well thought out and unique show! I actually had a group of ladies (mid 60's ~ early 70's) over for an afternoon of watching Love in Fairhope and drinking Rose'. For sure, not your typical age group of viewers. The general comment was how fun it was to watch young love! It was a great diversion from anything that ails you. Pretty delightful and true to life! We all thought the actors did a phenomenal job in portraying who they were. Our favorite might have been Abby who was gorgeous and true to life! Please followup with season 2. We all would like to know how the characters lives continue after season 1!

This show gave insight into totally different women and their love journeys in a very creative and charming way. Having the fantasy background of gorgeous Fairhope was spectacular. It is so refreshing to see a show in the reality space the is not mean and trashy, has meaningful writing and has interesting, not generic characters. Good for Hulu for doing something different and innovative. Having a narrator adds to the complexity of the stories which is why it is so bengable and keeps you wondering where each story is headed. I particularly like that Fairhope, being a small town makes it so much more intimate.

Loved this new series, believable characters and fantastic setting.....oh to be so lucky and live in Fairhope.....L Weber seems to be an extremely talented new producer....look forward to watching series 2....well done Hulu for being brave enough to show something new and exciting. We watched the first episode with our kids and the whole family then binge watched the rest of the series as we were hooked from the get go. We especially liked the believable characters in the show and our favourite episodes were numbers 3 and 4 which once finished left us wanting to complete the entire series.... WE LOVE FAIRHOPE.

I usually don't watch shows like this, but my gf made me do it. After I told her that I actually liked it she also made me write this review, so here it goes: I usually don't watch shows like this, and I totally was expecting a reality show with women screaming at each other, backstabbing and flipping tables. Which this wasn't. At all. I can't put my finger on it, but this was different, like, really different, and I hate to admit that I actually found myself liking it. Like, using my gf's weighted blanket and liking it. So I was gonna give it 7 stars for liking it. And then I gave it another 3 for being so different. I would probably watch another season of it. Oh, and I liked Trevor. My gf hated him. Trevor, if you're reading this, please know I can relate. I leave it at that. So there. My review.

I adore this show! It's fun and fresh and sweet. It is so refreshing to see a wholesome show in the reality space for once! I sat down and watched the whole thing in a day with my kids (all under 10) and husband over the holidays. We laughed, we cried and it reminded me so much of the Hallmark movies we love to watch so much. Thank you Reese for using your power to promote positive messaging. I cannot wait for a Season 2. . . Dying to know what happens with all of the ladies in this town. More shows like this Hulu, please!! If you like Sweet Magnolias or Virgin River, you will love this show!!

This show is just like Laguna Beach back in 2007-or something, in how there's a storyline and the main character is narrating or whatever... similar to how Lauren Conrad used to do with her show....

It's just a mix of scripted and reality TV. If anything it's a great show to have in the background when you're not looking for anything too serious..

What would definitely complete this show is music! Better music. Maybe they don't have the rights and that sucks, but that's what Laguna Beach had.

I will continue watching if they continue filming. Main character has the typical everyday girl problem dealing with a situationship!

Love the storyline and the representation of love at all stages in life. Very relatable. Very well done. All of the characters will pull at your heart strings as well as make you laugh. Not overly dramatic or too stale. The balance is there. The crew is extremely talented, so much so that I am pulled right into the story without any distractions of too much noise or a shaky camera. I do not want to spoil anything to the reader so I wont go to in depth. This show contains all thats needed for an interesting watch without being drawn out. I Reccomend this show to anyone reading. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 10 out of 10.

On holiday here from Germany, you have terrible reality shows, but this show is very good. I'm happy we now have it in Germany also. It is like the romantic movies my friends and I have watched a lot so that is good. We don't like Trevor and nobody likes him hahahaha. Abby is beautiful and funny, I like Majajo the most, and Olivia is beautiful also. We all like Nick and Kurt and the bartender who is Abbys friend. The town is very beautiful and I want to go to it when I come back next year. And go to the beach and surf, maybe we see Nick hahaha is the show coming back? I want to see lashondras baby :)
