A new travel show for those that are not frightened to wander
There are many travel shows that kept me wondering what is out there. Ethical travelers give back while taking very little. Maybe just the experience of being there. Jeff Fuchs with Global Heroes, brings us the heart of the Amazon, to find true heroes-that with no cape-help others with the most basic of needs. Health.

This is a simple and straightforward documentary; a filmmaking that holds to the cinéma vérité style developed by Edgar Morin and Jean Rouch, inspired by Dziga Vertov's theory about Kino-Pravda (1), to walk in the footsteps of a traveler wandering the Amazon jungle, its problems and its solutions.

The MMI organization helped with guiding Jeff through the rough vegetation and binging an unrevealed truth to all of us. The work of who travels to these remote locations to help others. Doctors from all walk of life come help who does not have access to any form of healthcare.

The moving element is the care that Pepe brings to a mother in distress to heal her infected abdomen from a botch attempt to heal her from giving birth in a boat.

The fun part is diving into foods that cannot be found in your local grocery store.

More episodes are being filmed, and we all hope to see more.

(1) Cinéma vérité: Combines improvisation with use of the camera to unveil truth or highlight subjects hidden behind reality, sometimes called observational cinema.
