Nice to Meet You Mr. and Mrs. Sweets

Warning: Spoilers
This was another good episode of Bones. The whole dooms day prepper idea falls in line with the time when this show was made. I have a love hate relationship with the B plot of Sweets moving out. I mean, obviously, I am happy for him, but I really enjoyed watching the scenes of Bones, Booth, and Sweets all living with each other.

I thought that it was funny, but sort of insane, that Hodgins was remaking all of these explosives and artillery and testing it inside the lab. First of all, how did Cam allow him to fire the dragons breath bullet in the lab? Also, I thought there was an episode where they discussed that Cam was the only one licensed to use firearms, which is why she has to be the one to shoot any weapons. But here, Hodgins fire the shotgun, which is a bit inconsistent. Also, he literally fired a cannonball inside. He didn't even do a courtesy of going outside to do his experiment. I did really love the moment that Booth and Hodgins had when they did their experiment together.

We unfortunately had Daisy as our intern this week. I think the writers have toned her down a bit, but she still just annoys me because now I don't know what her character is supposed to be. When we were first introduced to her in season 4, she was this insane, super energetic, awkward person who idolized Brennan, but now she has chilled out a bit but is still annoying and still tries to mimic Brennan. Daisy, as a character, is just a big miss and the writers should have gotten rid of her after the first episode, or after she broke up with Sweets, but for some unknown reason they are desperately trying to make this character work when she has been beyond repair from the start. I don't know if they keep her because she is their own female squintern, but if that's the case, write her off and write in a new female intern that is actually loved by the audience.

Overall, this was a pretty good episode of Bones but certainly nothing too special.

Best part: Bones inviting Sweets to Sunday dinners

Funniest part: "So she is a dirty girl" - Booth

Worst part: Pretty much every scene that Daisy was in.

Entertaining--That's It

Sometimes one takes the artistic out of the equation and let the rough side drag. This episode involves the death of a military woman who, after being drummed out of the Marines, joins a survivalist group. She dies in a fiery blast early one. There is no doubt to her identity, so the episode is about finding the killer. The final solution is rather anti-climactic. We have the B plot of Sweets finally getting an apartment and leaving the Bones/Booth abode (that was fun to say). The two are actually torn because they have had a good time while he is there, plus he as provided free babysitting for them. Another throwaway is Hodgins performing experiments with cannon balls.
