The Kemblesford Olympics begins, and sees villages completing with one another. Favourite for multiple events is Ursula Fanshaw, but her competition is cut short by a bowl of spinach. Mrs Devine welcomes her son Eddie back home.
It's that time of year, where we await Silent Witness, Death in Paradise, and afternoon favourite, Father Brown. It seems as though the budget for afternoon drama has all but gone, the new format sees the show transmitted weekly, rather than daily.
A solid opening, not a favourite, but it's great to see our favourite crime solving Priest back on the box. Quite a fun episode, a decent storyline, and a nice mix of characters. I found Eddie a little irritating.
The Olympicks are perhaps a little silly, and Mrs Devine and Inspector Sullivan have turned into The Howard and Marina of Kembleford, all the pair need are bicycles and bad disguises.
6/10.
