So far I'd been on the fence when deciding if this series is on par with the original. In Spring Broken, the answer is YES.

We finally get Confucius development, and some great moments with the other new clones. The smart JFK bit and the Vegas bender were comedy gold.

Spring Broken makes up for this series lack of beautiful chaos compared to the 2002-2003 run. The Scudworth and Mr B mirage was one of the funniest things I've watched all year, and honestly those two are the best characters in this season. Just like in the 2000s, the songs have been absolute bangers, that goes for this whole season. Oh and Mr B is finally saying "Wesley" again, that's worth an extra star.

Joan finally realizes what she needs in a man, and it's not what JFK has when it's below 110°F outside. Good for her, really. I know the "dumbass is temporary smart" joke has been done elsewhere, but I think it lands well with Himbo Fitzgerald Kennedy. Hope these two find what they need in a relationship, really. Although I kinda liked JFK as a womanizing stud who conquered the moon.

Cleo development! Even if she sounds and acts different than before, she's finally doing something! She's only been relevant in like three episodes total so far. Out of the four new main clones, Frida was getting to be my favorite, even if many viewers don't like her. Cleo is making her better. Also Frida calls Abe a simp, do with that what you will.

It would be a perfect 10; but Candide is still kinda boring to me, the history between JFK, Abe and Cleo seems to have been forgotten, so has the Harriet and JFK drama, at least mostly. Smaller role characters like Van Gogh and Genghis Khan still feel even less important than before.
