This Lumiere actuality shows two dancers performing a traditional Siamese dance.
It's shot by Gabriel Veyre, one of Lumiere's many roaming exhibitors/directors. Veyre and others roved the world, showing the films, setting up a permanent network of distribution and exhibition, and while they were in foreign countries, shooting films that might go into the catalogue. Veyre's product was hit-or-miss, but here he has an interesting subject, offering the real deal for other markets.
It's unfortunate that the print I looked at was not in very good condition, but in many ways, it's amazing that it has survived at all. Most of the Lumieres' competitors films are long gone.
