- There is a mechanic in battles that allows the player to target and destroy enemy appendages. There is frequent blood splatter when an appendage is destroyed.
- Some cutscenes show characters being stabbed. There is blood.
- The alien spaceship in the opening can be seen shooting at spaceships and destroying them. The aliens eventually blow up planet Earth and can be seen attacking the surviving spaceship.
- The characters in the action turn based battles can be seen shooting at monsters and robots with their machine guns and even killing the monsters.

- Many of the games side quests are tragic and intense, involving death, corruption, xenophobia, and suicide.
- This is considered to be a dark game in the post apocalyptic setting.
- The alien spaceship blowing up spaceship fighters and blowing up planet Earth may be too scary and intense for kids and sensitive people.
- Doug loses control of his flying mobile robot suit and crashes it on the street. Lin drives recklessly in her car and then stops her car in front of the crash scene.
