A redheaded woman lies dead on the floor of a seedy motel. The mystery behind why revolves around a byzantine cat and mouse game being played by a determined woman, Harriet, against a piano-playing gangster named Grasso. The murder of the redhead allows Harriet to con Grasso's thugs out of a valuable attaché case... which she then destroys without a care as she continues her machinations. But she can't outrun the guilt that afflicts her when she lets her mind wander from the violent task at hand. Using post-it notes, she tries to remind herself "There's no thinking in the shower". "No thinking in the car". No thinking anywhere. And when she finally confronts Grasso, the man who sent her down this path of revenge, she manages not to think. She acts. And that savage choice will haunt her.
