I enjoyed this short mini-series. I think it highlighted a great deal about Archie's character which is not a bad thing. He was a complicated man because he had a complicated and difficult childhood. That would affect anyone, even a great and handsome actor as Cary Grant.

I found his relationship with his mother a little off-putting. It was like she was obsessed with him in an odd way. Very uncomfortable. Dianne was interesting...I am sure the huge age gap and perhaps her maturity had a lot to do with their demise. Archie was certainly set in his ways but he was literally of a different generation than her so there would be fundamental differences. Did he have a touch of OCD? Perhaps. It would have been interesting to see his other romantic relationships.

Just another thing I noticed which is not directly related to the series. Whenever British actors attempt an American accent they always sound so nasally. Mr. Fox sounded a little ridiculous..hahaha

In any case I felt this series was well done and a good quick watch on a Sunday afternoon. All of the actors did a fabulous job!
